I've said it ever since Reina left: We need a new keeper. Mignolet is having a ******* stroke out there and no one seems to care.

Mignolet and Owen continue their great partnership in giving me cancer.

Not playing good and winning.

I'm hearing Mignolet held on to the ball for 20 seconds.

Usain Bolt can run 200m in that time.

If you (don't) concentrate, you can probably disappoint your girlfriend in that time.

****, you can finish a beer in that time and be ready to disappoint her again.

Mignolet seems like a nice fella, but mentally he doesn't have what it takes to be a top goalkeeper. My 11-old niece has more composure.

I'd imagine he looks great in trainings, which is why he hasn't got the boot yet, but as soon as real football begins, panic ensues. And its not like this is lack of experience, he's 27 with almost 200 games in the Prem.

But the Klopp factor?
Hugs n stuff?

Hugging has its merits, but even the most powerful hug won't turn carbon into diamonds.

Tony Barrett: Klopp to a journalist taking his time asking a question: "You wait almost as long as Simon Mignolet taking a kick"

Oh by the way:

That actually was a very entertaining game of football.

Bordeaux had to win, had a go, and added to a very enjoyable game. Comfortable win but still a nervy last 10 as we can't get past completely putting teams away at home. Although that said I don't have a clue why Benteke's goal second half was disallowed. But then I don't have a clue just WTF the referee was on all night in a totally bizarre performance. Some of his decisions just beggared belief. Although Ibe was stupid getting booked for kicking the ball away in an otherwise great showing. He looks a completely different player again now he's back to attacking and going at the opposition as opposed to being stifled as a wingback and playing backwards. **** of a web from Benteke for the winner. And WTF was going on with Toure and his mad runs up the other end playing one-two's? That was hilarious bless him. Deserved win in an overall good performance. Better atmosphere too. Helped in large part by the fantastic Bordeaux following .....

..... And then there's the Belgium *** in nets. Yes, you very rarely if ever see that enforced. But he took 20 frigging seconds or whatever it was. And the ref warned him to get on with it and he's still dithering and dropping it and picking it back up. You'd be ****** at that on a Sunday park. And then to compound things, he left a gaping hole that everyone behind him could see that the free kick went. On his side. If there's just ONE change January it has to be him. Stand by he's the single worst long term 'keeper I've ever had the misfortune of watching in red that just spreads panic every single frigging game back there. Bruce's gonna' have another field day after that haha.

We're through, and can now relax in Sion. (Not sure whether that's good or bad after £52 for the frigging ticket on top of everything else in that oh so cheap Country but yer know .....). Still need to avoid defeat like to be one of the seeds.

But just to be qualified with a game to go is fantastic considering virtually nobody felt confident we would after the first 2 games in this group.

Some great looking trips too developing out of the Europa side for the knockouts.

Oh yeah, totally and utterly past Sturridge now.

This is way beyond a joke. Not sure how long he has left on his contract, but I'm all for cutting ties and going in another direction next summer. Just can't be relied on at all. At the point where I'm looking at Origi, as raw and garbage as he's been, as at least he can be relied on to play.

why Benteke's goal second half was disallowed.

A push on the defender. Looked very soft to me, he barely touched him as he switched side to get away from him. The defender seemingly kicked one his legs into the other and went down. Only saw one replay though.

Indeed. He didn't seem to actually have control of the game, but instead kept making decisions that left any sort of consistency non-existent. Soft freekicks one second, no freekick next second, a penalty that would never have been given in England (not that that makes it wrong btw), and needed help from his linesman 35 yards away to spot a deflection 5m from his own eyes.

He's fantastic one game, disastrous the next. Can't play the ball at his feet. Can't organize his defence. That indirect freekick was thoroughly deserved, complete aneurysm. And that header, what even was that? Just put as much power as you can on it, instead of softly heading it straight to an opponent. But depending on what constitutes long term, I'd have to nominate Westerveld...

I don't think we'll be seeing a change in January, but I'll be very disappointed if we don't see it in the summer. Klopp and his team know German football, he could close his eyes and do eenie meenie and land a better keeper than Mignolet.

God, Sander. THAT was a fun 2 seasons ..... But we did win our second treble with him in nets. He started out solid but was completely loosing it at the end. That UEFA Cup Final against Alaves man .....

Still take him over Mingolet though. Yeah, forgot the header. WTF was going on there? And then Lucas, who was otherwise excellent again, taking it back square across the box ..... that was a disaster waiting to happen all round.

Yeah, Benteke's dissalowed goal looked like a push.

Ta guys. Need to see it back but it was utterly perplexing live. And what made it worse was the ref initially looking like he was pointing for the non-offside, and then they restart with a free kick outside the box.

Telling yer, that ref was high on something tonight.
