Those stats are ******* crazy.
Pains me to say it, but it looks like Sturridge won't have much of a career anymore.
People talking about cutting ties with Sturridge? How?
I'm sure you're all the same people who hate Raheem Sterling for not being loyal, who hated Torres for not being loyal. I'm sure of it.
Daniel Sturridge is a broken man right now, things just are not working for him at all and he's missed the whole of last season pretty much and a large chunk of this one. It's a real shame because for me in the Premier League, only Aguero tops him when he's fit for me. (Whatever your opinions you'll probably agree he's in the top 5 in the league).
We label players all sorts for not being loyal to a football club, but how can you expect them to when we as fans cant be loyal to them because of injury?
There may not be loyalty in some players.
CLUBS NEED TO BE LOYAL TOO.
Its frustrating that people genuinely want him gone. Yeah I know its frustrating and I know its hard to imagine the wage he is on without him playing, but he deserves it from us to stick by him. He's been sensational in a red shirt, up there with some of the very best I've ever seen. People can agree how good he is but he is still massively underrated.
I cant believe our own fans are turning on him. If he's out for this long he's not faking it, and you would all be lying if you werent scared of injuring yourself again after coming back from a long injury. Imagine the fear knowing one more could do your career.
Unfortunately for Sturridge it keeps happening, 47 starts and 11 as a sub in the league for us with a return of 37 goals, he deserves more from us.
Loyalty is one of the most used words in football now, and we may need to look in the mirror before labelling players in the future if this is how were going to act.
..... And then there's the Belgium *** in nets. Yes, you very rarely if ever see that enforced. But he took 20 frigging seconds or whatever it was. And the ref warned him to get on with it and he's still dithering and dropping it and picking it back up. You'd be ****** at that on a Sunday park. And then to compound things, he left a gaping hole that everyone behind him could see that the free kick went. On his side. If there's just ONE change January it has to be him. Stand by he's the single worst long term 'keeper I've ever had the misfortune of watching in red that just spreads panic every single frigging game back there. Bruce's gonna' have another field day after that haha.

While you raise a good point on the issue of loyalty, the main difference between clubs and players is that the clubs pay the players.
It's not like it's a rare occurrence him being injured, he's practically spent half his career here on the sidelines. The club and fans have been incredibly loyal to him! There has to be a stage where the club have to forget what a great player he can be, if he can't get fit.
At the end of the day a football club is still a business to the owners, why should they pay someone who can't do their job?
It's not that people aren't being loyal to him, it's just that they are being realistic. They are no longer romanticising him as the saviour of our club, possibly because Klopp has taken over that mantel. Fans are starting to believe that we don't need Sturridge to win games anymore.
I'm sure if he could stay injury free, every Liverpool fan would agree he should be one of the first names on the team sheet. However he can't, so how long do you keep giving away money when that money could be spent elsewhere?
I don't know how contracts work and if his wages are lowered due to injuries or not? If he doesn't want to stay at the club, for me he needs a new contract with clear stipulations on his wages if he can't stay fit.
^^^^^ Yeah, if he doesn't buck his ideas up and fast his days are WELL numbered at ours.
Bordeux's free kick near the end where any other keeper would have comfortably caught it, he punches it and dives to the left. WHAT THE **** ARE YOU DOING. Then the fans behind fall for his pathetic heroics and start clapping him.
**** yes. He makes it look like a tremendous save, when in reality he should actually HOLD the ball. It wasn't a fantastic freekick, but he made it look like one. That's why I always felt Julio Cesar was massively overrated: He always made his saves look like top notch stuff, but only because his positioning was so poor. So he was diving all over the place making it look like he was fantastic. Here we call it a "TV save", and that's what Mignolet is so often doing.
Scouse you seem in the know with tickets. Could you PM me or update this thread whenever tickets go on sale.
I seem to fall into a habit of checking the website, seeing when they'll go on sale and then forgetting about it til its too late.
