It's just so ****** poor.

How in the world have we allowed Carroll to be unmarked in the box? Clyne already has an uphill task trying to stop Valencia in the air

Awful stuff. Clyne has no chance there, who allowed him to be hit 2 on 1?

'Always the victim .....' **** off back to yer East London hovels yer low life shitbags yer!

This i some weird game. Both team lack any intensity. Looks like they are still in new year celebration mood. Game is played at half the pace West Ham usually play.

Windy day?

Funny game in so far as we hit the bar, had one cleared off the line, could of had 2 or 3 pens, and West Ham's first should never of stood.

That said, we never looked like scoring and that 'performance' was nowhere near good enough. No creativity. No threat. And totally unacceptable, not least to the manager, not enough fight and workrate.

BIG improvement in effort and application needed for Tuesday. They're gonna' be two real battles. And without Henderson, you're struggling for any battlers the side.

Bad day. Hopefully other teams recent slips continue.

Oh yeah, Danny Mills is a complete joke of an analyst. (That him iam?).

The biggest worry is i dont see a style of play.. I dont even see an attempt at a style of play. What we thought was the Klopp philosophy against Man City has not been replicated once since

Yeah, I don't think his ideals have changed at all. He's still both looking wholly ****** and going nuts on the touchline. But it's not transferring to the players the past month and that is a worry as we can't bin them all January and have to work through with the current crop.

*Edit* And he wasn't happy at all being interviewed there naturally. Be interesting to hear the full after match presser later.

He was fine being interviewed. He was ****** off at the result and performance that's all. Otherwise that interview would have been much shorter.

You don't get long interviews if they don't want to be there.

Oh mate, you misunderstood. Ambiguous way I worded it. Sorry.

I meant he was utterly ****** at the team the interview.

And that continued the after match presser.

Which has pretty much been the same right through December as he's become more and more exasperated on the touchline as he's gone nuts with them most every game.

We know Rodgers/ 'The Committee' whomever built a substandard team that he's inherited and as yet hasn't been able to alter personnel wise. We know outside of one man who's never frigging fit we don't have anything in the top bracket of their position league wide. But that only accounts for talent. Commitment and attitude should be a prerequisite. Are our players that ****ing braindead, or that darn arrogant and lazy, that they can't respond to this man's passion and the bare minimum he requires from them? Because it's becoming a worrying trend that they just seem to of slipped back into what went before and although they all 'say' they right things through the week, they aren't frigging showing it come match day.

I can forgive a **** of a lot from a team in red that gives absolutely everything. You get beat by the better team but have tried everything then fair enough. But since Southampton, outside of Leicester Boxing Day, we've barely matched the opposition for effort which is completely and utterly unacceptable. And completely baffling that they've stopped responding to a passionate man who couldn't be attempting to get more out of them if he tried.

The plus side is most of these ****** won't be here next year and the coming years after as he weeds them out and brings in players that will die for him and ourselves. But it's worrying that they've slipped back into this **** poor attitude when there's half a season that still has so much to offer with not too much we can do in January to address it.

They'd better buck their ideas up and fast before Tuesday because anything less than 100% for 90 minutes there and we'll be chasing a lead the second leg.

Dont worry mate majority of these hacks will be moved on. They cant complain they haven't been given a chance by klopp aswell. When you also think about the money wasted by the rodgers regime it really makes me want to facepalm.

Believe it or not, If we have a fully fit squad i'm very positive about us moving forward - that just seems hard to achieve that at the moment

our squad is so paper-thin because of poor investment that as soon as a few players get injured we crumble. Henderson was hugely missed today, and had the likes of Sturridge/Ings/Gomez/Flanagan been available we would have obviously improved further

Looking at the moment, I'm unsure of any sort of European Qualification, let alone UCL.

Just SO frustrating. They've seen already what can be achieved if they fully apply themselves. So why they've stopped doing that and have slipped back the other way, much to the managers angst, I just don't understand.

A lack of talent is one thing but there's NO excuse for a lack of all out effort.

I hear ya' man but at least, with the league being this poor overall, we're still well within touching distance of that.

But this attitude from the players needs to change and fast. A very worrying trend as you said.

Have to disagree mate our squad is **** poor when compared with arsenal and city. Hopefully klopp will improve it over the coming years. It just lacks balance I mean I can count on my fingers and toes how many attacking midfielders we have. Along with a hapless goalkeeper, another southampton con artist in clyne (Thank god flanno is returning) and moreno who is just a failed winger. I could literally go on. Atleast for once we have the right man in charge who will move on these hapless players.

That's because you are comparing it with Arsenal and City... Barring the odd season we haven't been near those teams for many years so it is obviously nowhere near those

Goalkeeper I agree with, Moreno i still quite like although he has obvious flaws, but i am really surprised you have that opinion of Clyne. I really like the signing and I've not seen anything to change my mind

Oh yeah, totally. With good reason. He cant do much this window. But players need to realise some are playing for their careers. Liverpool will not do an entire scrapping, they cant afford to. But this summer 6 or 7 will go and 6 or 7 will come in

Arsenal and city are the benchmark and with the money we have spent we should be closer to them but no point in crying over spilt milk. In the case of players such as clyne etc... its hard to explain because majority of people who watch football are ball watchers. So theres no point in trying to change your mind if you havent watch clyne properly. If you did you would know that he is **** poor going forward to the point were klopp himself is screaming at him many times to support the play. He also gets caught out way to many times and lastly cant cross to save his life. Only plus is he is young and he can work on the weaknesses of his game. Hopefully a fully fit Flanno can push him to improve.
