Never fails to amuse how anyone actually thinks Scousers give a flying ____ what anyone thinks of us.

No no, you don't get it. It's like when you see these kinds of pictures and can't tear your eyes away because of the terrible fascination. Questions like "how?" and "why?" tumble from your mind, unable to fully encapsulate the beautiful enigma you see before you. Like watching a documentary on Scientology or reading about the Munster rebellion.

I agree with scousers. It's a good idea to reject others reality and replace it with your own. At least you'll be happy. Yeah, one will call you delusional, some will say difference between kid with autism and Scouser is that kid with autism is at least good at one thing. But ignore them guys. Just smile and wave :)

Saving that for prosperity before you change your mind and erase it.

Figure you'll never utter those words again in public. :P.

****, you must be on some good **** when you pick that thing instead bashing me for calling you guys autistic. ******* love it :D

What's he actually like? I've heard of him quite a bit, don't recall ever actually watching him though!

From what i've seen of him; calm on the ball, like's to put a tackle in and quite good positionally. When both fully fit he is usually partnered with Bender which would help him and the whole new league to adapt to would make it interesting, but a mainstay for Leverkusen and started the WC final

The ref really should of stopped the game on Arsenal's first equaliser. That's the mandate now isn't it? Any head injury and play gets stopped immediately? Big clash of heads. Giroud down for the count. Sakho stumbling around seeing stars. What more do you need? The fact Sakho didn't do the smart thing and go to ground like Giroud shouldn't come into it.

Not so much bothered it was allowed to stand as the subsequent defending and goalkeeping was real poor. (Although Sakho was a part of that.).

Just continues to be disturbing how officials STILL aren't IMMEDIATELY stopping the game when there's a threat of a head injury and concussion after a clash like that. To not put too finer point on it, football, as much as they say the right things on the concussion issue; are a sport that continues to put players lives at risk out on the field.

Sam Byram for 4mill is another signing I would be seriously interested in as a back-up to Clyne.

It was in the final third, no ref will stop the game at that moment. If they do then defenders will always use that as a tactic to defend when they lose the header in final third. Just collapse for few seconds, ref will stop immediately and then game restarts.

Very much doubt it given what he had to say after the match Tuesday, but I really hope Utd come out and attack Sunday. That'll play right into our hands.

If Van Gaal reverts back to this seasons type and sits deep with 2 holding midfielders it could well be a long day breaking them down.

Sit deep? There is someone who haven't watched United at all.

Which is a problem in itself. Shouldn't matter here on the pitch a bad clash of heads occurs. And it should be immaterial that Sakho didn't do the smart thing and go down like Giroud instead of trying to do his 'brave warrior' act and carry on.

Football is either going to treat the concussion issue as seriously life threatening as it potentially is or not at all. You can't half *** on head injuries. And it's the full gambit. The number of players that have been allowed to continue whilst concussed after treatment is still scandalous. Not just in a particular game, but to return within a couple of days playing. There needs clear, defined protocol that needs to be strictly adhered to.

For all the mega money at play, it's incredulous that football is still one of the worst sports on head injuries.

IIRC there is already set of rules for concussion starting last season, like I said clash of heads doesn't mean ref will stop the game immediately. It's grey area and ref should apply common sense and in this case he did.

Exactly football's contradiction to this. You can't have a 'grey area' within a supposed protocol for dealing with head injuries.

It's half assed when it shouldn't be.

Your two holding midfielders haven't sat deep the majority of games this year?

We both must be watching different United games.

Eh? Except Schweinsteger is not a holding mid and you should check their average position on the pitch.

United don't sit deep, they push very high up but team is usually clueless to open up the defense, so they just pass it around in the opposition half.

There are many valid criticisms for this United team but using something that is made up look very small time and silly. United don't create enough chances, United midfielders lack imagination, United players don't take risks are all valid one. Saying they play with 2 holding Mid or they sit deeper is just nonsense.
