Which 3-4 clubs are you referring to? The only clubs who have been extravagant with their spending in recent times have been United and perhaps City

It makes absolutely no sense why you'd go out and appoint one of the top managers in the World and then stick to your frugal policy. Unless that was just another cosmetic touch to the fans and a piece in preparation for selling at it's highest when the new stand opens the start of next year with the added TV money.

And talking of our greedy *** American owners .....

I'd LOVE to be a fly on the wall in FSG's offices the next few days. Saturday must of REALLY rocked them. To think we could mobilise 15,000 to walk in 2/3 short days. And it coming from ALL over the ground. In traditional areas where before NOBODY would of left. That must of REALLY shook Ayre to see main standers around him leaving in droves. They must be thinking we can do that at such short notice, what are they going to do the next protest? And the ones after? To have them even discussing this already is testament enough to honestly one of my proudest days as a Liverpudlian at Anfield. The spirit and togetherness Saturday was VERY special. And a real shot in the eye for everyone who naively said it was a waste of time and wrong. (Some of the social media comments the weekend have been appalling.).

Hopefully, other clubs support will look at this and think if we can make such a stand with such short notice, they can too.

It was more a throwaway comment than one without real thought or research, but United and City are the obvious two.

Chelsea are more than capable, but it balances out with your incredible record of selling average-good players for crazy money.

Wage is a big factor also. At one point this summer Liverpool had one player over 100k a week - It's no wonder we are struggling to attract the top players

Don't let combined wages fool you. Utd, City and Chelsea will think nothing of dropping upwards of £200 grand a week or more if it meant securing a player they wanted from one of their rivals. Individually, we still rarely go to anything like that. (As absolutely abhorrent as those wages are. They are what they are sadly.).

Arsenal are the same. They're still capping off their wages at £140 K a week. Which in principle is brilliant and should be MORE than enough for anyone to say the least. But it pails in comparison when other clubs will add another 40 odd percent to that.

Markovic is in Istanbul at Fenerbahce and can't be recalled this year.

Naturally. But the mere fact they're talking about it, even if it is just fluff and they initially do little/ nothing, is brilliant in itself.

They'd of been rocked by the sheer scale of the walkout Saturday mate. Not least that a lot people you'd NEVER of expected leaving left. 15,000 or so was beyond ANYONE'S wildest dreams and the media coverage has been fantastic. If we can mobilise that in a few days, what will the next be like? And the one after that?

Really feels like the start of something again and so proud we're yet again being the ones to stand up and lead the way.

Train prices ridiculous, so I am driving down to the outskirts somewhere and parking down any old side street and getting the tube into wembley.

Once around London it's very easy to get around just using a day pass on the tube

Always found Brent's Cross the easiest for that. Park up just past the station, in a decent area. Straight on the M1 again after.

That said, the last time we came off at Stanmore. (Free parking the station car park Sundays or was.). Not far off the M1 and around 5 stops down from Wembley Park. That was real convenient too.

We we are round the other side the ground for some reason so Wembley Park is probably better. Not that it really matters if you're in the car. Just a longer walk.

Oh, if you have a contactless card the tube takes those now too. Brings the cost down to what Oyster Catd users pay in London. Just scan it both ends like you would an Oyster.

Yeah the trains are too much, I remember looking at the prices for the UFC which is on the night before. I think I saw the official LFC site linking Thomson Sport coaches for around £35.

If I get a ticket I might think about driving up so I'll let you lads know.

Yeah, any final day out at Anfield South is a brilliant day haha. But City just makes it feel really big as opposed to Cardiff the last time. No disrespect to them.

City are certainly favourites, but it would make a win even better. The fact we went to the Etihad and beat them 4-1 shows it can be done

If we could have Coutinho - Firmino - Sturridge for that game it would be incredible
