And the difference Daniel Sturridge makes is utterly ridiculous.

Was he lively? needs a good run of games at least 7 or 8 before he will be sharp. Great from an England point of view he can help us to our regular quarter final place in the summer if he can stay healthy.

He just looked a class above.

obviously a bit of rust at first, but his control of the ball and ability to commit defenders is second to none

Will take time, the pros always say the first 1 or 2 matches you do on adrenaline its matches 4, 5 and 6 etc where you are breathing out your **** till you get match fit.

Nice game a bit aggressive but nice. We gained some new players today. And a few less games.

Remember a few weeks back when the chances created stat was rubished on here which lead to Sturridge being the major key between being where we are and being top 4 was similar rubished?

Tonight showed yet again had he been healthy, as poor as we've been we'd be up there looking at Leicester instead of ******* around dropping toward the middle of the pack.

Beat forward in the league not named Augero and it's not even close. Just keeping him healthy that's the continuing angst.

God I hope not. Stick with Vardy, Kane and Rooney.

He will go if healthy but he shouldn't. He needs a proper, normal summer of rest and then a proper pre-season. Not having it broken yet again with a tournament.

Cruel game that football. Didn't deserve that at all. But when you don't take chances and concede yet again to your Achilles heal it happens. Real pride night despite the gutting result. Kids outstanding again. Smith is gonna' be a player. Ilori looking more composed than most at the position this year. The non-penalty aside. Stewart solid again. (Disgraceful challenge on him the end the second half.). Tex worked his *** off. Even Ibe was far more direct. Lucas MOTM. Phil getting through what, 70/80 mins? And Sturridge a class above anything on the pitch and still going strong the end. Benteke actually moved today. But he's still *****. His golden misses the difference.

****** off to be out the Cup. Not least in such gutting fashion. But immensely proud of the effort and performance.

But you don't always get what you deserve this game so congrats West Ham.

Thats football.

Now if only the senior pros would play with even half that heart and pride in the shirt Sunday at Villa .....

Would be nice to have Sturridge get a good run now from an England point of view.

Vardy, Kane, Rooney and Sturridge is a very nice selection of players to have up top, even is Sturridge is used sparingly

I guess you blinked in the 67th minute when Valencia was tugged down in the area?
West Ham deserved the win.

West Ham should have got a penalty, but they didn't deserve to win.

Not that it matter because they did win, but Liverpool created 3/4 absolute clear cut chances but just couldn't put them away

Couldnt have said it better myself. Despite the foul at the end, Lucas was outstanding wasn't he?

Possibly our our best performance at CB all season

Reminds me of another typical day of FM 15 QQ

So the Liverpool footballers didn't do their job properly, yet they deserved to win?

If a sales person gets a few chances at a sale, yet doesn't close them and complete their sales, should they get a stack of commission and a bonus anyway?

Of course not.

What a silly topic this is... West Ham deserved to win in your eyes, I am more than happy to agree to disagree

The object of the game is to put the ball in the back of the net. The team who achieve this win the game and hence 'deserve to win'.

It's all very easy to understand.

Completely agree Anthony, every team that wins always deserves it

Interesting protest by the Dortmund fans who are also ****** off at ticket prices.
Do you think the Liverpool fans could organise something similar?

I know the pricing structure is different in another country, but the fans are protesting at £17 tickets.... £17!

It gets to a point where they are receiving excellent value for money yet they are still not happy
