Just because Rafa's back in town ..... The greatest night and the greatest European Cup Final of them all. Just love the ecstasy from Johnny Aldridge on the Radio City commentary mixed in the second one.

Too early in the morning to relive that second video. We truly are blessed to support Liverpool Football Club.

Shameless Manchester United fans steal old Liverpool chant to praise Marcus Rashford | JOE.co.uk

Just saw this on Facebook. Oh dear.

Apparently Sakho has been suspended by Liverpool for failing a drugs test. Supposed to have been taking a fat burning suppliment.

Yup, same thing Kolo got banned for when he was at City. Kolo got a 6 month ban IIRC, could be seeing the same for Sakho. Speaking of Kolo, guess he'll be stepping in.

Obviously none of us know whats really gone on yet but surely he's been taking them for a while. So has he gone almost a full season without a test? I believe clubs should do monthly tests on all players anyway. That way, if a player has been a bit naughty, they can hopefully sort it before the league testers come along and slap them with bans.

Players should really know better by now though. Never take anything without fully knowing what it sontains first. The way things are going you wont be able to use mouth wash soon without it containing some banned substance.

Right now we don't know much about that, but the timing could have been better, and I don't mean just calendar-wise. While this obviously isn't EPO or even cocaine, drug use among footballers has been a debate recently. UEFA could well make an example of Sakho and hand him the strongest possible punishment which, if I'm not mistaken, is a 2 year ban.

LFC
Yesterday, Yesterday, Friday 22nd April 2016, a formal communication was received from UEFA stating that they are investigating a possible anti-doping rule violation by Mamadou Sakho.

The player will respond to UEFA on the matter.

The player is currently not subject to any playing suspension. However, the club, in consultation with the player, has decided that while this process is followed the player will not be available for selection for matches.

There will be no further comment at this time.

Good, swift response from the club.

Absolutely NO excuse for this. You know there's a random two players tested after every UEFA game. You know if the club doctor hasn't prescribed anything you take anything to him and make sure there's nottin' on the banned list. And if it's something worse than the rumoured fat burning supplement, even if it's recreational and not a PED, then I completely give up.

Braindead, selfish imbecile!

Randall starting again? Flanno again not in the squad? What is Klopp seeing that the rest of us don't?

A mate poised an interesting theory here .....

Flanno is already on an intensive pre-season in training after being out for so long to build him up and be ready for the actual pre-season. Working him harder through the week at the expense of games at the end of the season with him not being in the Europa squad.

Just a theory but I'd be happy with that for the long term if it were right. He's certainly not injured.

Reports that he was tested after United second leg, if so why was he allowed to play in the next games where he made important contributions.

Should have been banned on that day itself.

Can't believe a professional would be so dumb it's going to cost him a lot as well Liverpools run in, a decent chunk of next season and also a chance to play in the Euros in his home country

UEFA only notified the club yesterday he was under investigation. (He's not been officially banned as yet.).

Can't act much swifter than they have.

Well, first they'd have to analyze the tests, then they'd have to wait for the B sample to confirm the initial findings, I assume.

Beggars belief doesn't it? Absolutely inexcusable and absolutely zero sympathy if he is found guilty.

I guess. Also heard another explanation which kinda makes sense, in that Flanno isn't registered for EL, so if Clyne should get injured or whatever Randall has at least played a few games with the team. Or that Klopp is testing Randall to make an informed decision whether or not to keep him on after the summer. Or Flanno just slept with Klopp's wife, what the **** do I know.

Strong side regardless like. But then they didn't expand much energy the second half in particular midweek.

Guess the Swansea game next Sunday dinner will be the one for wholesale changes in-between the semi's.
