The one thing that I would say to qualify that, is how bad most sides have been this seen. Klopp is playing about where all our top 4 sides should be. He wouldn't for example be catching Ferguson, or pre meltdown Mourinho. He's still underperforming for a title challenge, as are Arsenal and the two Manchester clubs. But what he is doing right now should be the basic bench mark of the traditional top 4 and he is the only one meeting it right now.

Oh, no question. We've still a good ways to go. Just from where we were to where we now are is quite the noticeable improvement.

Liverpool are undeniably moving the right way. Summer though, will be key. Especially if Jose comes in. Think Arsenal could lose out here.

Yup, agreed. Wenger has to be under serious pressure after falling so miserably short again.

Yeah we are moving in the right way

I was looking at Villarreal the weekend being as I know next to nottin' about them.

Dangerous little side. 4th in La Liga. Won 2, drawn 2 and only lost once against Barca, Madrid and Atletico this year. Second best defensive record after Atletico. Top scorers the Europa League putting out Napoli and Leverkusen the knock-outs.

This is no 'gimme' semi just because we drew the smallest side left.

On the flip side they'll be worried about us after Dortmund. But this could well be another tight struggle.

You can always count on Mike to try and put a downer on things.

In term of ability they are the best of the other 3 semi-finalists. Though I am glad we drew them instead of the other 2 considering Sevilla have that European pedigree and will probably win the Europa League for the next 30 years and Shakhtar are located on the moon.

That is so f-ed up. From a stationary ball, he hits the first man every figging time. Moving ball, he whips over some brilliant crosses.

WTF is all that about?

I think it's all to do with the distance not allowing him to use his preferred technique. He seems to do this hybrid cross of clipping the ball and putting whip on it but I don't think he can do it if you add that extra 10 yards and put it by the corner flag. His corners from the left hand side are usually a little bit better as he can get that inswinging whip on the ball.

Thanks for the added info mate. That last line had me literally LOL. They're actually currently having to play 600 miles from Donestk in a gorgeous looking place called Lviv down to the ongoing conflict the Ukraine. Still 230 miles or so over the Polish border. But a much easier trek. Still made up to avoid them like haha.

Donestk would be the best for the final to potentially open up more tickets. Can't see them taking many at all.

ICU got it right. But they won't worry about you. Not because they dismiss you, but because belief in themselves is what has has helped make them so good.

The more I read and hear the more I'm looking forward to this one.

I'm confident like, because it's L'pool in Europe so you always are. Not least with the second leg at Anfield. Throw in Klopp and that goes up a notch. But I'm really looking forward to this as it's fixing to be a real good semi final battle.

Can't wait for next week. The El Madrigal looks a brilliant, proper little footie ground with tight stands on top the pitch. And given there's next to no transport out of the place at night, I'm presuming it's one of those boss little Spanish places where the whole town supports the team so it should be a great atmosphere.

Plus they're nicknamed 'The Yellow Submarine.' How cool is that?

Ramiro Mori's tackle was looking horrible yesterday and I though he broke Origi's leg :(

Brilliant tie, win or lose. Be an amazing european night at both ends. Been there when United played them. Dismissed here in England, but those of us who watch La Liga knew better. Really tricky side. 0-0 in the end. and they were well worth the draw.
