There's no buyback clause, which could be a mistake. But then I never thought he would be better than Sterling, so perhaps not.

i would like to see markovic given a game i remember the game he had against sunderland scored a good goal and ruled the right side of the pitch but he wasnt given time to stettle because he was been played rw then lwb then rwb, hes a winger let him play RW

BIG pre-season for Ladzar. He could be like a brand new £20 million signing. Or whatever that fee last season is this season haha.

Delighted. No doubt a vital part to anything we do going forward

Cynical side - I just hope this isn't a deal we look back on in October as 'this is better than any signing' after we struggled in the transfer market. haha

Tbh, I'm a bit bemused by it all. It's not like he had any intentions of leaving, and he's not one to break and run to another club.

i felt that he would have useful last season when we really could have done with a winger when we had coutinho firmino and lallana all coming in midfield and when theres games where we needed to make the pitch wider he could have been that person tbh

Hard to know who's telling the truth on anything right now. Mane's fresh in the mind. L'pool insist it's £30 million. Southampton more plus add-on's. Everyone seems to be trying to blag everyone else to keep their own fans happy.

yeah i feel like its something we could have sorted out next year but then again knowing the manger is even less likely to go anywhere any time soon is good news for me

Yeah, utterly pointless loan to Turkey last year. Aside from the fact we could of used him, what he needed was experience and toughening up to our league. So we send him to a lot lower level the other side of Europe. Genius.

yeah you couldn't have put that better, you happy about possibly allan and lucas leaving?

A buyback isnt something you blag. Liverpool haven't counted the addons, Saints have, can see how that happends. But a buyback is either there or its not.

Yeah I get that. But I just dont see it as massive news. I can see why LFCMarshall is a bit cynical.

No its not big news as you say when he wernt going anywhere anyway, much prefar us to be bidding for players in the transfer window while its open

If replacements are there. Nothing against either player but we could do better.

Allen just is too small and lightweight to really be a regular for me in the PL. Technically an excellent footballer, but his size goes against him and the one tribute he does lack works against him too. Pace. Never has been able to get away from anyone. Reminds me a lot of when we had Charlie Adam. Brilliant footballer. Had everything. But he didn't not just have a lack of pace, he had NONE at all. Adam flat out was like Gerrard walking. And it showed time and again when he just got crowded out immediately in midfield. But fair play to Joe. It's not about money. He just wants to play regularly. Can't begrudge him that. Best for both party's.

Lucas is on the downside of his career if we're honest. He's not going to play much at all with the reduced fixture list so would he be happy sticking around at this stage to do that? The one downside with him going is more experience leaving the club. I think that would leave our oldest player Lallana at 29. Good servant like that's been very under appreciated often. Maybe Brannigan get's more rope to be the DM/ holding midfield back-up if he leaves?

Indeed, lets hope FSG arent insulting Liverpool fans by using it as a smokescreen for lack of signings.

If only football was as black and white and upfront honest. Make these here boards more peaceful for one.

We'll see what both turn out to be but I'm very happy with each deal on the face of it.

I trust the telegraph when it comes to saints. But the Ibe deal is still in the air, thought without a buyback as it stands

Been honest i wouldnt mind allen staying been its hard to find a solid back up player but as you said he does seem to want 1st team player which isnt going to happen here, i completely agree with lucas but will be a shame to see him go he even talks scouse these days. would be nice to see more young players coming threw but i would want us to still be putting strong teams out in the fa and league cup gives us the best chance of winning something and going back to wembley would be amazing but hopefully winning this time!

Oh I can absolutely see why he or anyone else would be. It's a continued pattern at Anfield over many years and it's hard not to reference the past let downs as much as you try not to.

But we now roll as the manager rolls. This isn't the Rodgers era. He either wants or he doesn't want. And has the final say on everything. Good or bad. Boston money men deciding who comes and goes is no longer the case and something we all need to let go of.

ino we dont need a striker but i love to wake up to liverpool bid 40m for higuain(just example) show some massive intention

Markovic is a strange one - really highly rated but messed around a bit. Who knows, could be like a new signing.

I was one who thought Ibe could, and that's not detrimental to Sterling at all.

It seemed he had pace and power and was a naturally bigger build than Sterling so perhaps could cope in the PL a little better. Not quite sure what has happened the past season.

Wouldn't complain of course, but if we were going to splash I would much prefer it be on a position we need (CM) if the targets were available.

Origi, Sturridge, Ings, Firmino i think are good enough options seeing as we are not in Europe
