Read it online no idea if it is definitely true but, would guess it is. Jordan Ibe is apparently the most expensive uncapped English player

any good i know he will be cover but klopp must see something in him to fork out 4m

So I did go back and watch both games the Augsburg tie last night. (Thrilling life that I lead haha. Messing aside, just like to know something substantial about guys I know nothing about.). Which I'm paying for now as I'm absolutely goosed. Or is it this ridiculous humidity that's ruining the heat? And I swear if ONE more flying ant crosses my path ...... I digress, Klavan .....

Pretty much as Mike suggested. 'Solid, unspectacular, dependable.' He played left centre half those two games (mainly left footed), which almost doubles as a LB the way Augsburg play with their FB's pushed very high and the centre backs WELL split. Like the edge of the penalty area wide. He was the deepest of the two and covered great for both his partner and the LB. Only saw him caught of position once the two legs when he got sucked into helping the LB and left Sturridge the middle. Real solid positionally and no slouch. Good in the air at 6'1 both ends. Comfortable on the ball. He likes to play it long which suits what Klopp likes and what we're noticeably adapting this pre-season. Hitting the front men early. And he's a big talker and organiser. Which being the National team captain with well over a 100 caps I guess he would be.

Nothing to not like here. Real experienced, veteran International with 30 plus appearances the Bundesliga each of the last 4 years who's happy to be a back-up (and who's played a few times a LB which is interesting giving our shortage there) who won't stand in the way of Gomez's development. He just gives real solid, dependable cover until Joe's fully recovered from his long term injury. Along with the busy Christmas/ January period when we'll lose Matip to the African Cup of Nations. All for buttons money.

A non-event signing but a very good squad addition who's now passed his medical so hopefully will be ready to roll at Huddersfield tomorrow.

But what a cool **** name. Ragnar! Boss Tha'!

thanks for the info and is ragnar some baddy in some sifi world somewhere

25mil up front for Wijnaldum with no players going to Newcastle.. Seems to be close if reports are to be believed this morning.

I lost any sense of 'value' this summer so will be good just to get him in before the tour.

He's going to score at some point and the headlines will be "Ragnar Rocks The Kop"

"Live at the the Klavan Club!'"

I like the 'Ragnar the Red' line. Has potential to be worked into a boss banner.

This fella's got cult hero potential like Nick the Greek!

Puled from Newcastle's friendly tonight so this could be a day.

I love that we'll of added two of the top 5 highest scoring PL midfielders last season this window if/ when this gets over the line.

Can never have enough speed and goals. That can't be stressed enough.

You might lose Palace 30mil in Benteke as they are also looking into Diafra Sakho who asked to leave.
Maybe should have accepted that few mil lover offer.

Long way to August 31 yet mate. Pretty confident he along with quite a few others won't be here when the window shuts and we'll of gotten something like the value we want.

Klavan is official

£4.2 mill. plus add-ons that maybe won't be met if they're appearance based on a 3 year deal. Very good, very experienced addition to the group. Hopefully by the end of his contract Gomez is the established starting CB for club and Country we all believe he will be. Hard not to like that pick-up.

Wonder if he'll go straight into the squad for Huddersfield later?

"There was no doubt in my mind" - Ragnar Klavan on signing for Liverpool - This Is Anfield

I make that 4 players in this window for £42.9 M. With a net deficit of £- 15.4 M.

Now to thrash this out with Newcastle.

Oh there once was a hero named Ragnar the red, who came riding to Whiterun from old Rorikstead

And the braggart did swagger and brandish his blade, as he told of bold battles and old he hade made

But then he went quiet did Ragnar the red, when he met the shield-maiden Matilda who said

Oh you talk and you lie and you drink all our mead, and now I think it's high time that you lie down and bleed

And so then came clashing and slashing of steel, as the brave lass matilda charge in full of zeal

And the braggart named Ragnar was boastful no more.... when his ugly red head rolled around on the floor!!

Haven't read the past couple of pages but Ragnar the red was a popular song sung in the Elder Scrolls game Skyrim. The kop needs to sing this. :P

Skyrim is a such a brilliant game, totally forgot about that song.

I think Matip and Mane are your two best signings so far. Not entirely convinced by Wijnaldum. Dahoud would be a game changer

This was from twitter so probably bollocks but, anyway be funny if he did say something like this....

"If I get to play against Everton or Man Utd I'll make sure my name is put in history. I'll either score or hurt someone" - Ragnar Klavan

Hmmm, not too sure on what I think of this one in all honesty.
