Well that should be a lot more than 1-0 again.

First half observations:

Jason McAteer is a ****** *****. 'I want to see more effort' 'This is too slow' blah blah blah. It's a ****ing friendly in the heat yer meff! I remember watching you at ****ing Crewe pre-season. Now THAT was PROPER ****! Gob****e!

Karius isn't only one good looking SOB, he's a pretty darn good goalkeeper. Great to see him finally tested and come up massive. Twice. This wasn't a friendly Town would be down to 10 men. 'Keeper should of walked. Good save from Phil's peno like. Talking officials, what a joke to chalk off Mane's first goal. The frigging 'keeper kicked him FFS! Mane over the top is going to be devastating. Very good interchanging between Mane and the two Brazilians already. If Grujic keeps arriving late, finding space, and hammering home goals like this he'll be facing Lampard comparisons. Seriously. Great finish again. Great work by Mane to set it up. Another very good workout. Wagner's got them working hard as you'd expect. Perfect club to loan players to. Fantastic tribute to Joe *** too. God rest.

Very interested to see which 5 get the full 90 minutes second half.

Was thinking grujic as a possible cheap mid in FF but he aint on the fecking list

Really? Weird. He will be before the season starts.

Finished 2-0 again. Non-descript second half with the Lucas injury and young 'keeper up front. Finally scored a pen. Kent won it 2 mins the end. Moreno scored it. L'pool fans booing because the 'keeper never took it haha. Good work out. Some tasty tackles and Wagner had Huddersfield a mirror image of ourselves and working hard. Very good defensive organisation as Hudds. had the possession second half but did notion' with it. Means nottin' but 4 straight clean sheets is very pleasing.

Now on the plane early morning and America. Step it up another notch.

Oh yeah, record ever friendly crowd for Huddersfield. 21 K plus. There's a rumour that we're no longer a big draw .....

Reserve team goalkeeper Shamal George looked a better attacking player than Lazar Markovic tonight. The Serbian needs to move asap #LFC

Bang on that. Mario would of run more. Swear to God.

Made up with that. That's now two of the 5 highest PL goalscoring midfielders from last season added. Goals and speed is certainly a very noticeable theme. Fits into how quickly he likes to transition the ball forward which we often struggled to do last year with no speed in those areas.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Evie Ejaria the two kids to make the US. Along with George to cover at 'keeper. (Or is it now striker cover haha?). REAL chance for A-A to bag himself the back-up RB role if Flanno goes to Burnley for the year. Been even more impressive thus far that he's looked a natural in midfield and wide when he's ostensibly been a RB coming through. Plus he's a Scouser and you can NEVER have too many of those in the side!

If Liverpool get Wijnaldum they have a very solid interchangeable attacking mid set up.

With Coutinho, Firmino and Wijnaldum, if you look at last seasons goals scored, key passes and assists all are very close. Wijnaldum has lower numbers per 90 mins but he was in a much worse team.

Great looking options across the pitch with those three.

Keep Sturridge fit and that is quite a scary foursome for defenders with their movement.

Really keen to see how those 4 link up when the season starts

Leading to the strongest bench we've had since probably Houllier too when the likes of Lallana will be on it. Still needing a LB and a controlling midfielder would of been nice. Everything say's he wants Dahoud bad and is prepared to wait a year for him, but the squad is looking massively stronger than last year. Both in starting additions and the improved depth by subtraction.

See the one man you're forgetting there .... Mane! Yeah, great options.

I was mainly thinking that Wijnaldum, Coutinho and Firmino were sort of similar in style/changeable. But yeah, Mane is another awesome option with how he can make space on the wing where I think he is best. Don't see Mane playing AMC this season really.

Could be a bit lightweight in the middle right now though.

Sorry, thought you were looking at the attacking midfield three plus Sturridge. Of which Mane looks nailed on to be the right of.

Unsure how Klopp is going start - Always a good dilemma to have I suppose.

He seemed to really like Lallana towards the end of the season but his place seems up in the air all of a sudden. Personally it would be Mane-Firmino-Coutinho-Sturridge

Lallana, Wijnaldum, Milner or Henderson, Origi, Ings all on the bench.. Fantastic options and rotation to have

I think the idea is we'll have a settled back 4 and 'keeper that will rarely change giving us that base to build off, with Can and whomever in front for the protection. Then the forward and attacking three midfielders are all interchangeable dependent on the opposition, injury, atigue etc. At least that's how it looks and what he mainly seemed to do in Germany.

Sure is a heck of an exciting prospect though to think of the goal potential in the side now. This added speed as well should in theory open things up a lot more for Phil and Bobby Firmino to do their thing in more space. As we know, if Coutinho got consistency, there's very few better. Don't know if you caught Pele saying he rates him the highest of all Brazil's young talent technically which is one **** of a thing to say. Even for Pele who likes to big everyone up.

Not looked forward to a season as much as this in eons. Probably back to Kenny's first go-around. 2005 came out of nowhere and the league season was that poor you really didn't expect a serious challenge. And the year after 13/14, we're down Suarez and still had that historically bad defence which combined didn't fill you with hope that would kick on. Maybe after Rafa finished a close second to Utd. But then he reverted back to type and shut up shop so that optimism was gone quickly. Now, there's genuine optimism that we can seriously contend. And do it in one heck of an exciting way.
