By Country Mile..... Tad too much?

I know, I took the bait.

Mate, it’s no bait. Its undisputable fact.

****, Gary Neville has him down as rhe best CH in the World, Never mind PL. He’s been absolutely imperious from day one.

Defenders madly never get things like this, but if you were doing a player of the season over the firat half the year, it’s not even a contest.

Didn't you say Gomez has been better? :P

Virg has played more minutes.

Christ, don’t bring how good Joes been into it mate and just what a partnership they are together. People will flip! ;)

BTW, you still not ‘fearing’ this side bud? Smiles.

I'm not gonna lie, from the eye test, you lot were just scarier last season. Whether that was the frightening pressing/intensity, being a little more free-scoring, whatever - I'm not sure, but I was definitely more like "oh ****, don't want to bump into them, because they could click and put 4-5 past us". This season I would've been more confident at getting something at yours. Would've helped if we played our strongest XI, but anyway, the past is the past; adios Jose.

Congrats for the position you're in, I still feel City lifts it come May, but can't argue you're definitely an efficient machine these days and gonna be one of the big teams to beat/finish above for the next few years.

Agree with RH. Do feel just on last nights match. If you would of coughed up those chances at the back with the sloppy play. Result would of been different if you was playing better oppo. Fair play to where you are though, you defo deserve to be there!

This Liverpool side knows how to win games when they are not at the best, as much as we don\t like to admit it, that is a key ingredient to a title-winning team. That's not to say it will necessarily be Liverpool, but they have a great chance as it stands.

*Long, but pertinent read on that if you’re interested in my views .....

L’pool have actally scored more goals (39- 38) through the first 18 games this season than last you’d probably be surprised to learn. And now Mo’s back to last years form the past month, the second half the year attacking wise is frightening what numbers he could well put up again. For all ToD’s twice now mentioned that we had a 10 minute or so sloppy spell befire HT last night, Salah could have had three or four himself in better conditions.

We’ve evolved another level this year mate into a FAR. better side than last. This side can beat you any which way now. City, and the way we blitzed Europe in particular the run to Kiev, have been skewing peoples opinions on the current side that’s putting up record numbers like very few L’pool sides before it.

I’ve been real fortunate to see L’pool win the league 6 times in person. The last 2 or 3 of those the majority of the games live the more I was growing up and the more games I was going to. Along with however many other battles we finished runners-up in. And outside of Kenny’s great ‘87/‘88 side, the amount of scruffy games we dogged out 1-0 or got the second late in a 2-0/ 3-1 I can’t begin to tell you. It wasn’t all pretty, free flowing football. Because the opposition, shock horror, are trying to stop you and get points/ win games themselves.

THATS what wins you titles. Taking what your given on the day. And this side has now evolved to such an extent that they can match, and invarably beat, ANY side and ANY style of football they face. Which wasn’t the case before this year progression.

We’ve not been outplayed by anyone the league this year. Always in complete control through the 90 minutes of football. And most any other year, we’d be WELL clear in first. Rightly getting lauded over. Just City are who they are, blowing most sides away early most weeks, and its been skewing perceptions. Comparing the top two, who are streets better than anyone else in this league, really is asinine when both are two of the top sides in Europe right now.

Last year was a year for the ages entertainment wise. One of my all time favourite seasons the sheer enjoyment they gave us. And we ultimately won nothing. But the memories from that exhillarating ride will last a lifetime.

Now, we’ve moved up to a whole new level. Playing proper big boy foitball that has you in contention to win everything. Evolving into a team that can play you any which way and still know we’ll come out on top. Defensively as solid and controlling as any Liverpool side I’ve ever seen. Whilst still having the ability to be one of the most devestating attacking sides in Europe.

We’re now a COMPLETE team. Something we weren’t last year. A proper serious title challenging outfit thats set to go the distance, home and abroad, not just this year but for many yeats to come as you alluded to.

And as frigtening a prospect as it must be as a United fan to see L’pool finally get it right again and return to one of the top sides in Europe its ****** brilliant to be a supporter getting carried along this ride with them.

I agree with Scouse much more scarier this year. Only people who watched highlights of our games and saw the free scoring front three think last years team is scarier. Now we actually have options in midfield and a defense as good as anything out there. Good times to be a LFC fan.

Apparently City don’t like the pressure of chasing.

WTF is going on here? 3 goals to a side managed by the Hodge?!!!!!

Not just the pressure of chasing. Most teams who have had a go have had success against them. City are brilliant no doubt. But for all the money they have spent do they really have top top class defenders defensively!?

Palace has not taken it to them though. If Uncle Roy does not make some substitutions, I can see this match getting away from us even 2 goals up.

So Roy might become a liverpool legend after all...

Best result (maybe the ONLY ****** result) he’s ever got for us.

NEVER saw that one coming.

We at worst match City over Chrimbo now we can’t be behind them whatever happens at their place.
