So many foundations/ charitys. Lads like Andy Robbo giving his time to foidbanks and publicising their great work. Trent having a blast serving meals yesterday for the familys and kids he personally bought presents for. Henderson and Lallana the same. Ex-reds like Dirk, Carragher, Fowler and Gerrard putting so much back into the community with their foundations ..... Proper special group of lads these with the togetherness between those on the pitch and those off it as strong as I’ve ever known it.

And it all starts with the manager and the human values he’s instilled right through the football club before anything else.

Nearly 31 years ago today (December 28, 1987 to be precise), the finest L’pool side I’ve ever seen licked Newcastle
4-0 at Anfield on their way to our 17th title.

Today, by far and away the best L’pool side since then, and one of the most complete/ controlling sides we’ve ever had the privillage of watching, did the same. THATS whats happening mate.

City really don’t like the pressure of chashing a team every bit their equal do they?

Imperious defensively with a 12th clean sheet out of 19 and only 7 conceded.

Imperious offensively with City’s GD wiped out as Mo continues on his epic form.

And a three, thats THREE, game lead over the only side thats concerned me all season and still does. The current Champions.

Absolutely mad to think that if we, at the least, match City Say’day and then go there and win a week tomorrow the league could be all but over.

7 Straight wins in December and counting. 7 points clear of arguably the best team the PL has ever seen.

If we can get out of the next two games still unbeaten with a healthy point gap then only then will I believe... So far it's looking like its too good to be true.

Honestly I hold my hands up. I said there's more banana slips in this LFC team than City, but the noisy neighbours are currently pulling my pants down on that one, whilst you seem to be peaking and scoring more freely.

Your title to lose as it stands. I think January is an interesting window, Pep needs a DM. Thank **** he didn't get Jorginho, hope he doesn't get his paws on De Jong.

Jorginho has to be one of the most overrated players in the game right now. A deep-lying playmaker who is slow, that cant tackle has rubbish positional sense and is useless when pressed. No thank you. Pep needs dynamism from his deepest midfielder not just being a **** pirlo.

Hey now d. Many Reds would rather have him than the captain of, statistically at least, L’pool’s best ever team. ;)

Don’t you just love those cheeky chappy ‘fans’ of Rafa’s team ..... As if singing that Toriest of Tory Utd song about feeding us wasn’t bad enough, they raised the bar with the ‘hillarious’ ‘L’pool’s a ____hole, We want to go home!’ ..... Lads, you come from Newcastle for Pete’s sake! Aside from mocking poverty in this day amd age, your home town, with its FAR worse social and econimic problems, makes Liverpool look like the South of France!

Never understood the feed the scousers line seems daft coming from similar Clubs up north. Meh. The captain had a magnificent game today seems to have gone up a notch with the added competition in midfield.b
 
My hometown used to make a cheap canned fish soup that was known for awful stench. Opposition fans are still chanting that my hometown team stinks of fish, even though the factory was closed and soup haven't been made in 30 years.

I was messing with you over the Lovren sillyness the other day but I didn’t see this as that at all. Like Degsy, he was asked a question and gave an honest answer. Emery doesn’t strike me as the type to play ‘mind games.’ In fact come to that, since Ferguson jacked in, and Wenger and Mourinho are no longer here, there’s very few managers do as none of their peers are remotely arsed. Cerrainly at the very top. I think that all added to Mourinho’s narkyness at Utd that he couldn’t get much of a rise out of Guardiola or Klopp but thats another story.

That said, if this current Arsenal side have anything about them, they’ll be going out to end that run and preserve that marvelous Arsenal ‘03/‘04 sides record.

As to the prospect of this current Liverpool ttam going unbeaten all year .....

Why not?


Stating the obvious to say going a whole league season unbeaten is an exceptionally rare, hard thing to do. But this gang of Reds are real special. They’re already, to this point in a season, one of the best ever. The single minded determination of this side coupled with just how solid and dominantly controlling they are .....

I don’t expect it but I certainly wouldn’t bet against it.
 
Wow, Arsenal's defending is next level ***** and I don't wan to hear any scouser in here (mentioning no names) moan about Spurs dirty antics when it is quite clear that if a feather touches Salah he is going to take a Tom Daley dive. That's not in reference to today, just the last few games in general.
