Wow, Arsenal's defending is next level ***** and I don't wan to hear any scouser in here (mentioning no names) moan about Spurs dirty antics when it is quite clear that if a feather touches Salah he is going to take a Tom Daley dive. That's not in reference to today, just the last few games in general.
I hate the term soft pen but that was the very definition of it. It's just the way the games gone that the box has become a no contact zone and playing as a defender in todays game must be a nightmare. Is football a contact sport anymore?

Did you just suggest Salah ‘dived’ against Newcastle z?

God. Just as you thought today’s comedy couldn’t get any better.

I’m running out of things to say about these Reds. We’ve NEVER seen anything like this. Up there with any L’pool side I’ve witnessed the last 40 years. If not stand alone which they’ve every chance of being come May

Can it just be December for ever?

Regardless of what happens tomorrow at Southampton (and lets see how that new pressure is handled being 10 behind), we manage to win Thursday and thats the league. Aside from City having to pick up 4 games, these Reds aren’t dropping 4. That’s not how this real special group are built.

Happy New Year!

Just as you thought the whirlwind ride of 2018 getting to Kiev to now being the best side the league couldn’t be topped, 2019 is fixing to be off the charts boss!

Up the unbeatable Reds!

Yeah just watched a replay of the Salah pen, think it was the correct call he clipped him a couple of times but sorry the Lovren one is never a pen.

Not seen either outsidenof at the match mate.

I thought your reaponse to z was on the utter nonsense he was talking about the clear one boxing day against Newcastle.

My mistake.

My mistake.

I was talking generally on the last few games, not referring to one incident in particular as I said in my post. Look your a Liverpool fan so it's always in your eyes going to be justice for Salah. But to my mind there is at least one or two over the last few games that are very questionable.

If a Spurs player like Kane done some of that stuff to win a penalty against you lot, it would be calling for their heads and saying how dirty they are!

Liverpool obviously deserved the win but Salah definitely dived against Newcastle. There have been more questionable incidents than not in relation to him winning penalties lately.

Zero penalty’s at Anfield in 15 months for Liverpool. ZERO. For one of the most attacking teams the league. Newcastle player pulls Salah’s arm back for a clear one. (Whether you think it was soft or not. It was a clear foul.). No Newcastle player conplains. The FA imeadiatly dismiss any rodiculous claims for a ban as it was a foul and not deception. Dermot Gallacher backs that up o Sky.

But you chose to run witb Phil Neville and a few others bunkum and say I’m just backing Mo regardless.

I’d sugest you learnt the difference between going down when your held, or kicked and barged into like yeaterdays Sunday league defending on him, regardless of how soft you think something is, and diving ala Kane and Pochetino saying it’s the right thing to do to try win games.

I’ll completely leave your hillarity there mate as I’m too high on steamrolling the league with a L’pool side for the ages to waste anymore time on utterly silly discussions.

Sad way to end whats been an absolutely brilliant Liverpool 2018, one of the mmost enjoyable Calendar years I can remember, with the passing of Peter Thompson.

I have an Uncle that always claimed he was better than Cally, Stevie Heighway and Ray Kennedy. As an old school, out and out winger like. And Shankly always held him in the highest of high regard: https://mobile.twitter.com/JamesPearceEcho/status/1079717147390156800

He must have been some player.

Shanks has got his LW back for todays games.

God rest a genuine legend.

Bar today’s incredibly sad news of the passing of a genuine, all-time club LEGEND, Peter Thompson, to close the year out; 2018 has been one of the most enjoyable and exhilarating I can remember in nearly 4 decades going the match.

The run to Kiev, and all the absolutely ridiculous fun and memories along the way, culminating in the best and most enjoyable fan experience of all the 5 European Cup Finals I’ve been privileged to watch this stupendous football club live in ..... Money just can’t buy that. That collective experience from everyone that was there that day in Shevchenko Park for one massive Scouse party like only wa can ..... Awesome memories that will live with everyone there forever.

Through to the end of the year and the absolutely ridiculous progress we now have in action before our very eyes into not only the best ever Liverpool team through a season’s first 20 games, which is mind blowing enough given our storried history. But one of the three best sides statistically in English football HISTORY to this point in the season. Absolutely ridiculous what these lads are doing for us right now.

That’s what other football fans just don’t get and whats a big part of what makes our fan culture so unique. We don’t have to be sat there at the end of the year with silverware to be happy or have had a brilliamt season. Lose the biggest game in football in Kiev? ‘F it! They’ve done us SO proud even getting here. Back on it and let’s party like only we can!’ ..... Ultimately finish second to a City team that historically tore it up last year? ‘F it! We’ll get them next year. These Reds have made another GIANT leap forward into one of the most feared sides acriss all if Europe so let’s get back on it and rock the summer!’

Maybe it’s a uniquely Scouse thing but we’re gonna’ have a good time and party egardless of any disappointment on the pitch. It’s just how we roll.

It’s as much about the journey getting there, and all the boss memories and moments (which is what being a football fan is ALL about when you boil it down), shared with yer mates having the time of yer lives as any final outcome in May.

Footballs about fun and enjoyment. That release from the monotony of every day life to lose yourself in the pride of your team for that hour and a half or so. And this gang of special, special Reds, under this manager, have given us that by the bucket load this past year through which I can’t thank them enough for making you not be able to wait for the next match again.

2018 has unquestionably been one of the funnest, most enjoyable 12 months I’ve EVER had following our shared passion.

With 2019 fixing to top it all and be off the charts boss.

What a time to be alive.

What a time to be a Liverpudlian.

Happy New Year one and all.

Is it Thursday night yet?

Last time I looked the Premier League table at the end of the 2017-18 season read: Man City, Man United, Tottenham then Liverpool. I think you've been on the pop already Scouse or do they teach a different kind of maths up you way. ;) because to my eyes 4th is not 2nd by any stretch of the imagination.

In your zest to be a wise *** are we to presume reading comprehension isn’t your strong suit mate?

The output Mo’s put out he’s right up there with anyone bud. Thats just not open to debate.

And in his current form, his all round game is far better than last season. We’ve not had any forward playing to his current level the PL era. And man have we had some of the best.

Kane put up 46 goals and assist in 36 games, just last year.

I think Kane's recognized as the best striker in Europe these days to be fair. Still can't believe nobody has tried to unsettle him with a concrete offer the last 2 years.
