Salah cannot play next week. Looked awful. Hope he's ok.

Also the ref played a terrible advantage. TAA should have been red carded rather than play that on for advantage. And the rule that you can only go back for violent conduct is stupid. How is football still so ****** backwards?

How in the World is Newcastle scoring a ‘terrible advantage?’

You’d rather have a man advantage but potentially no-goal with a 50/50 chance from 12 yards?

The ref was P poor all night but its *** backward to criticise him on that.

Just saw Van Dijk instructed the left footed inswinger for the winner. Colossal player & leader - Vidic type of impact.

So Firmino defo ruled out. With Salah also that’s tie definitely over. Even though it was pretty much anyway.

The Invincibles had 12 draws. All it takes is for someone to dive and force a pen or score from a half chance and there goes your unbeaten season.

Even the best teams need luck.

Not a team in history hasn’t had luck to win anything.

Just highly amusing the fume in the same game when a stonewall high boot penalty is completely ignored on a player who got banned last year for the same thing, whilst signalling in on something the other way.

But talking invincible, and luck, Sadio hits the post at City, the ball bounces out, hits the keeper, and gets miraculously cleared off the line. Sane hits the post and it rebounds in. (All after Kompany ‘should’ have walked and didn’t.). Thats an ‘invincible’ season right there.

Regardless of which team finishes second, they’ll of had one of the top three/ four seasons in English top flight history. Mad, mad standard from these two.

The PL is La Liga now. For Barcelona/ Madrid, read City/ Liverpool SO much better than the rest on a level all of their own.

Anfield. Tuesday night on the biggest stage of all-

3 goals down. No away goals. Bobby and Mo likely missing. Barcelona resting the whole XI this weekend. And possessing the GOAT in their ranks .....

The seemingly impossible.

But this is Liverpool Football Club. In our competition. At our house. Where we’ve made a career out of the impossible on great nights like these under the European lights most all other fanbases can only dream about .....

Can

Not

WAIT!

Regardless of whether we get to Madrid or not (still quietly confident personally we will), Anfield will be absolutely wild like only she can be when we’re fully on it.

THAT’S why you do it. Moments and memories that live with you a lifetime. Losing yourself and having the time of your life at the match. And this awesomely superb gang of Reds, the best any of us have ever seen, are ensuring that EVERY game.

Tuesday can’t come soon enough!

Up the down but by NO means out of Europe Reds!

Oh yeah, any whopper that wants to ‘cheer’ that horrible lil’ s____house Suarez Tuesday please stay away from the game. Ta.

He’s EQUALLY as bad as Coutinho and would have been at Arsenal long since if they had offered a decent amount. Before you even get into the diving and his disgrace with Andy Robbo last Wednesday.

He got dogs from the away section the Nou Camp and that needs intensifying at r’s.

Thought he got an ovation all round, no?

Thought he got an ovation all round, no?

Nah. He was getting what he deserved.

But you can see many being hypocritical Tuesday by applauding him back and doing the complete opposite to Coutinho. When if truth be told there’s little difference in the two save for Suarez never went on strike to force his move.

Long, but incredibly stunning read that encapsulates so much of what we're all about:

Yanno', it really doesn't matter who comes out on top next Sunday. Naturally disappointing to whoever finishes runner-up as neither deserve that. But it really doesn't matter when you block out the outside noise and take the mad standards these lads have set all season long for exactly what they are. And where it all falls in the great scheme of things. We couldn't be any prouder of our club and City regardless. And these lads, the best group we've ever had the privilege of sharing this journey with, get that too.

Thank you Donald McRae for taking the time here to understand and appreciate a lot of what Liverpool and supporting this club is all about.

Really enjoyed that.

Good. Although that was never really in doubt.

You DON'T F around with head injuries and the protocol is there for a reason.

Mo's health is FAR more important than tomorrow night.

We'll find a solution mate and give Barcelona one heck of a game. If they want to be in Madrid, boy are they gonna' have to earn it! Anfield will be absolutely bouncing like only she can Tuesday evening regardless.

And if Leicester get something tonight, and put the league back in our hands, the arl place will be off the charts wild tomorrow.

Seriously, what have we got to lose? Get in early and give it EVERYTHING!

The seemingly impossible faces us after last week and Bobby and Mo out .....

But this is Liverpool Football Club. In our competition. In our house. Where, as I don’t need to remind you, we’ve made a lifetime out of the impossible on great nights like these under the European lights

Let's make the impossible, POSSIBLE! AGAIN!!!!!

Up the European F Royalty Reds!

If Jamie Vardy would like to take a big step toward topping Mo as top scorer tonight that'd be sound by us.

Super effort from Leicester. Just like Rafa Friday, Brendan kept the integrity of the league and played them really hard to the final whistle and made City really earn that.

Iheanacho man. Fine, fine margins.

See who holds their nerve Sunday now in this epic battle for the ages.

Keep on saying it but it's a travesty for whoever finishes runner-up after both clubs ridiculous standards all year long.

To be fair City have set this standard for two seasons in a row now. You both have done brilliantly but City are on the brink of an incredible achievement. I refuse to believe that they could do it again next year.

Absolutely. They win Sunday they'll have averaged 99 points over two straight years. Ridiculous standard.

Why, natural disappointment aside, you won't find many here who'll be P with this magnificent side going toe-to-toe with the most expensively assembled, and well arguably all-time best side in English football history if we finish runner-up. It really doesn't matter if they top 97 points. What more can you do than just tip your hat to them and say 'Fair F's. It's been the best battle this Country's ever seen and you've been inches better to come out on top. Congratulations.' When you block out all the outside noise from jealous opposition fans and certain idiots the media, you can't help but have terrific pride in all they've achieved this season regardless of how Sunday plays out. Neither team could have done any more this season.

But whilst there's a game of football to go, there's always hope. Or else you might as well just forfeit the final game now.

Off the top of my head, Everton had it boxed in '86 and lost at Oxford the penultimate game. Nobody gave Arsenal a prayer three years later at Anfield having to win by 2 clear goals the final game. United only drawing at West Ham in '95 and handing it to Blackburn.

Stranger things have happened. Nothings over until the games have been played.

It'll be one heck of party Sunday regardless.

'..... Porto, Barcelona who the F yer trying kid? 'Cos we're the mighty L'pool, we're going to Madrid! We're going to Madrid!'

Into these Redmen!

Can’t begin to know what emotions must be going through that young mans head right now.

19-years-old. Never played so much of a second of senior football. Been working his ____ off the past 14 months to get back after a horrific injury. And he’s now on the verge of making his debut, in some description, on the biggest stage of all.

WOW! Boys own stuff and then some.

If you get on at some point tonight mate, savour it. These nights are super special and chances to get to the biggest game in football don’t come around every year. Go out with the confidence and no fear of youth and show what you’ve shown your rapid progression through the youth ranks.

Proud of you Rhian. And I have every faith you’ll let nobody down. But most importantly, have fun. Thats what its ALL about.

Scouse are you really going to party if you end up coming 2nd? Just reading your last post and it would be a bit weird. Don't get me wrong statistically been a good season, but you're all going to be gutted truthfully because the title was in your own hands up until that City game. Even after that you had an advantage that you should have been able to control.

Don't get me wrong Liverpool have had a good season statistically in the league, but if City are champions it will all be rather irrelevant. As you could and should have had the title. History ultimately only remembers the winners. Just like when City beat us to title by such fine margin..... Aguerrroooooooo... everyone remembers that, not how close United were.
