Not looking forward to playing Spurs at all. Hats off to them though poch has done wonders for them and he will have something up his sleeve for sure against us.

Not arsed about playing them on the pitch.

But this is gonna be ugly off it.

Whatever happens, I think this season will go down as best CL campaign in many years, if not ever. The amount of wicked plot twists, stunning games and unlikely comebacks is off the charts.

Nice to see the media at large today have no ‘bottling’ agenda bollocks and are just taking a stunningly superb L’pool performance, on and off the pitch, for exactly what it was.

Loved this from Fabregas on Trent’s ridiculous intelligence the winner too last night-

This football club man. Anyone know any bank robbers. This German bastards killing me!

‘When the Reds, go up, to lift the European Cup, we’ll be there, we’ll be there’ (AGAIN!).

You've not been reading that much media then, especially continental. Spain have basically buried valverde. As someone who actually works in media, wish people would stop acting like it's one mass with the same opinion. It's huge variant.

Also, when you cover stuff like this, you tend to go for what's a better story. And a stunning fightback is always better than a team bottling it. Always. Doesn't mean they don't think it's not a bottle job. It's just the better story to say. As rio said: we called Liverpool magic bexaue they were, but as professionals we wanted to bury Barcelona because that was unacceptable.

Anyway F that.

More concerned with the worst possible scenario in Madrid now.

Thats not what we want the media but what I’m expecting.

I didn't say Barcelona media. I said Spanish. Bexaue there's a lot more to it than that.

And the Barcelona media today has been the worst in totally destroying them. Yeah, I have been reading. The 'bottlers' narrative is an insult to both sides.

But again, I'm way more concerned right now with having to face those horrible ****** in Madrid. This has the potential for serious trouble all over the ****** place.

Love the Captains comments that he was struggling at half time and told the medics to just give him everything. He was pressing like a madman even until the final minutes.

Mad how people have doubted this lad and given him so much stick over the years.

Top leader. Top player. TOP Red.

He may not be the flashiest, headline-hogging player. He may not be the one in the limelight filling up the MOTD highlight reels every Sat’day night. Comparing him to his predecessor (or anyone else to Gerrard for that matter) is bat **** stupid. But he's a pretty darn good footballer in his own right and make NO mistake as to just how integral a man he is to it all.

Jordans the heart and soul of L’pool FC. The glue that holds the changies together. One of the best ambassadors for everything LFC and Scousers embody with his unmatched work ethic, loyalty, dedication to the cause. The consummate teammate who happily sacrifices himself for the greater good. Not often you get a footballer this far into his career who’s teammates, past and present, along with every manager to have ever been over him; ALL speak SO highly and glowingly of the top professional and leader he is.

A true captain in every sense. In the dignified way he carries himself and always represents the club in the best light possible. Before you even get into his community work and countless contributions out of his own pocket to help people far less privileged in this City out. Much of it never publicised as that's the way Jordan wants it. A mark of the man he is.

A true, proper Liverpool FC captain in EVERY sense of the word.

Anyone that doesn’t get that honestly doesn’t get this club and never will.

Why?
Can't a load of Brits meet up for a game and enjoy the day without mickey measuring?

Learn from GAA.
Decades of rivalry between counties, all wrapped up in a big day out and a bit of craic on match day. Nobody trying to show how big and tough they are.
That's done on the pitch.

liverpool being wc is torture :(:(:(:(:(:(:( die scousers llol utid

There’s been some bitter fume in here most every European round. (PSG was denigrated. Which flipped totally when Utd beat them. Munich was denigrated. This past week Barcelona was denigrated.).

Its all been highly amusing and transparent to read but that one is overstepping the mark and then some.

Stay classy.

What a glorious day to go (hopefully) win a league.

And if we don't, fair F's to City. There's nottin more this awesome gang of Reds could have done. And having Madrid to look forward to in three weeks isn't a half bad consolation prize.

One of the best aways this year, and man has there been a LOT, was that Friday night in the monsoon at Wolves. It felt like half of L’pool knocked off early for Chrimbo and converged on Wolverhampton for one big Scouse bevvy.

I honestly don’t know how the players played to such a high standard in the driving rain on what was essentially an ice rink. A testament to all 22 players involved.

The vocal was superb all night long. We really went through the back catalogue. And the young lads never missed a word. Real pride night. Seeing Trent under the stand half time absolutely ballooned just topped a brilliant night off haha.

Lets, save for the tropical storm, do that again! This is fixing to be one of the drunkest home games in a long time. With Anfield absolutely wild again after the stupendous heroics of Tuesday night. A massive Scouse party regardless of what happens at Brighton.

Up the still believing Reds!

Dont do this to us Brighton! Just get pummelled and dont give us hope XD
