I’ll take koopmeiners at Liverpool he ran us ragged and was one of the best players on the pitch tonight for Atlanta. Perfect age profile too and has worked under Arne before.

Happy 27th Birthday to ’The Man, The Myth, The Living LEG-END Joe MF Gomez!'

The longest serving player left at Liverpool Football Club and one of our absolute best. A true red who even outdates Jurgen having just completed his 9th full season at LFC. A proper ’mentality monster’ who’s been through the lowest of lows, and the highest of highs, and all points in between at Anfield on a personal level. Horrifically serious injuries that would have finished the careers of 99% of players. Loss of form after super long rehabs coming back from those horrendous injuries he suffered. Multiple times over. Through glorious individual and team success in winning absolutely everything. PL and CL included. Forging one of the best CH partnerships any PL club has ever seen alongside big Virg in the process. Without ever so much as a moan from him overt the years. Absolute model professional, on and off the park, who embodies everything good about this great club to a T. There aren’t many players who have as strong a bond with the lads and lasses at the match as Joe because of that. He’s spent his whole adult life here and has grown into the perfect representation you could wish for from a Liverpool player in every respect.

My L’pool POTY for the campaign just gone as he returned to his absolute best. He’s had an absolutely immense year across multiple positions. Which has put him back onto the International map for the upcoming Euros. I personally think he’s in a very select group with Stones and Tamori (with maybe Braithwaite and Quansah up next), as the only genuine, top bracket CH’s England possess. The complete, composed, ball playing defender who’s as athletic and physically dominant as they come when needed back there. With Joe having the versatility and athleticism to be equally adapt at either FB role.

Here’s to another 9-years of a true L’pool legend now entering his prime football years. This year’s career high output of 51 games/ 31 starts can only serve us well going forward now he’s back to full strength and fitness to once again allow him to showcase his ridiculous talent.

Happy Birthday # 2. Hope its been a belter.

*Sings ‘Ain’t nobody, Like Joe Gomez.

Ain’t nobody, makes me feel this way! …..’

Nice guys really do win.

Proper buzzing that Slott's here already and 'unofficially' started his job.

Get to know the City mate. Take it all in. Get to understand us, our values, our work ethic, our politics, what makes us tick and what we stand for. For that's the single most important requirement managing this club and what makes the role so unique. You aren't just the coach of L'pool Football Club. But you are a figure head for the City and it's people and all our hopes and dreams.

You have the impossible job of following the ultimate man of the people who got us from the get-go. And who reminded us what supporting this club, and the pure enjoyment of the game and journey is all about. But take your time before it's official next Sat'day mate getting to learn what we are all about and how think and do things differently to anywhere else here.

Get that down, and you're 99% there mate

The Ev talking about ‘trophy dodging’ is special. Even for them. 🤣🤣🤣

Love the irony too of the pic of trophy dodging Slot ….. Is Slot with a trophy. 🤦‍♂️

They are a proper weird breed.

All the best to Leeds today. Horrible gang of lads like. But with that nightmare trip to Suffolk back next season, Southampton on top can proper do one.

Mad how both L’pool and Utd have had better seasons than Arsenal.

Yet Arteta with over £600 million spent, and 1 FA Cup through 5 seasons to show for it, is the media darling, hot young coach. 🤷🏼‍♂️

What an absolutely brilliant last night out with Jurgen that was last night at the Arena. A proper celebration of a bona fide Scouse legend, who just happens to be German, and just what he means to everyone.

I don’t know where to begin with last night. Utterly brilliant in every respect that you wouldn’t have got in any other City. Or at any other football club.

Top music. Zutons in particular rocked the house down. Bishop was boss. And Jurgen was just Jurgen. So many moments. Absolutely loved when he shut all the FSG narking up once and for aall by saying if we’d signed Mbappe/ Haaland/ Bellingham et al, it wouldn’t have worked here as that has never been, and never will be, the L’pool way. But we did it the L’pool way and had the best possible time doing it and reaching the very top. And he wouldn’t have had it any other way. Can’t wait until he’s done with football and he can really let rip on City. He’s patently itching to destroy their cheating. The same with VAR and officials.

I could go on and on and on. Just a top, TOP Scouse occasion where we had one final night out with, two lads from Ayrshire and Glasgow aside, the single best man to ever happen to this football club. Loved how he said that now he’s joined McCartney and and Webster as being the three local lads to sell out the Arena, he’s now a proper Scouser. 🤣🤣🤣

You were right from the get-go mate. You just fit and got us in every way. Politically. Socially. Morally. And you transformed out great club and made us all remember just what going the match is all about. Sheer enjoyment and pride in your team. And just what can be achieved through sheer hard graft and sticking together as one. Unity is STRENGTH!

To see him in absolute bits when his name was being belted out by 12k of his adoring public one last time at the end …..

Made up to learn all the proceeds are going to the LFC foundation as well and all the superb work they do in the local community on the daily.

What a fella’. What a top, top Scouse celebration of, genuinely, one of our own.

We did it the Liverpool way. Said it best Scouse.

Out with the old, in with the new as the Arne Slot era officially begins.

We know all those that have served us so well, who have sadly left. All good things come to an end. Those starting today-
  • Arne Slot– Head coach
  • Sipke Hulshoff– Assistant
  • Ruben Peeters– First team lead physical performance coach
  • Richard Hughes– Sporting director
  • David Woodfine– Assistant sporting director
  • Micahel Edwards– FSG CEO of Football
  • Julian Ward– FSG technical director
  • Pedro Marques– Director of football development
Fenway evolving LFC again to stay ahead of the curve. Yet keeping the same principles and time-tested, proven industry leading guys to oversee the next era which should seamlessly transition and keep the same level of success.

Absolutely buzzing with Edwards and Ward return. Them being back in control, headhunting the right fit guys in every aspect for us, was a masterstroke for both the short and long term future. Certainly in the immediate overseeing everything at the club and developing the ridiculously solid club structure that Jurgen's tenure has left to the point the football club has never been as healthy and flourishing at all levels. And then as the new, expanded hierarchy on the football ops side comes into its own the more the new additions settle and can be given their own head and trusted, they can then turn to developing Fenway's football portfolio further which can only be to the long term benefit of the centre piece jewel in the crown of the business. Liverpool Football Club. Hughes already impressive track record leaves you safe in the knowledge the football club will be in great hands when Michael's remit expands beyond his current 100% focus on this transition into the next era. Anyone Edwards has personally headhunted for a senior role here should get everyone's unconditional backing given his almost faultless track record with the industry envied analytical transfer structure he implemented and the top team within that he put together.

And from knowing absolutely nothing about the new head coach, I'm super excited to see what should be a seamless transition there from Jurgen. I mean you know there's no worries with the players as they've hand picked him down to him running a very similar style of play to Klopp that fits the squad we have to a T. Why a lot of outside media noise like Amorim was never happening as he didn't fit the top young group of players Jurgen has left us with systemically or stylistically unlike Slot. Similar with Alonso and his preferred formation. But the more you read and watch about him, from those close to the situation in Holland, the more enthused it gets you. Say's a heck of a lot when I have yet to read anything negative from anyone on the Dutch side. Having him here over the past week getting to know the City is a super smart move as that's one of the key factors in managing, or purely coaching the team here as the new evolution will allow with the expanded delegation roles now affords more time to. You have to get us and understand how the City and fanbase ticks as much as what you achieve on the pitch to be in that role here. You aren't just the manager of the football club. You are a figure head for the City. And his personality from the interviews you've seen, and what those close to him attest to, seems the perfect fit for that all important connection to the support. And then you throw in things like him bringing pre-season forward a week for those not called up this summer, and his assistant jibbing the Euro's with the Netherlands to start here early et al, and their commitment out of the gate just enthuses you more and reassures you we've made really solid moves t replace the irreplaceable German legend who is, sadly, now officially no more.

Proper exciting times as the club continues to evolve to be in the best position for future challenges and stay at the top of the World wide game.

Roll on a day of introductory pressers and the new era starting and continuing the same level of ridiculous success as the last one.
