How likely do people think it is that Suarez will leave in Jan (Be honest)? And let's say you get ?60m, who would you want to buy with that? (Realistically)

We also hit the bar twice, could have been 3 times I think

100% wont happen... we were stubborn in the summer and we will be even more so in January, especially considering we could go into christmas top of the league

Summer may be different but it all depends on where we finish and if we offer Suarez a new contract like is rumoured (Big money)

Suarez also ruled out a move in Jan, so I can only see it being a HUGE amount too see him go (talking 100M+)

If Suarez does move, either in Jan or Summer, you won't get anywhere near what was paid for Bale. Bale has huge marketability (Real have already made over ?40m from shirt sales and other stuff like image rights). You could get just over ?60m though. How long does his current contract have left to run?

If i remember rightly he still has 3 years after this season as he only recently signed a new contract... all depends on Suarez. If he wants to leave in the summer and a foreign club offer 60mil+ then we wont have much choice

BUT, if there is any chance of keeping him i would reject every offer going, no matter how much.. just look at Spurs without Bale

Agreed, all depends on what Suarez wants, and therefore where you finish at the end of the season. If Munich or Real come calling, doubt you'd be able to keep him though. And you HAVE to get into the Champions League

Yep, No Champions League and he is gone, but we should still hold out for a big fee regardless... he is possibly the third best player in the world

I can't see him going to Real, his marketability is tainted by his indiscretions, though Bayern certainly might look at him as an option.

I think he'll stay, as was said earlier in the thread, top of the table is a real possibility and Rodgers could do with some reinforcements in midfield and the side could have a very strong finish, considering their lack of European competition distractions.

Absolutely brilliant today. All 11 players deserved man of the match awards there. Suarez is on another planet.

Just must be quite the businessmen.

Liverpool have scored more goals from open play at White Hart Lane this season than Spurs have.

I have no idea how likely it is that he'll leave, but with ?60 million I'd like a short-term replacement (Hunterlaar?), a few more improvements in other positions and then save the money for the future.

Zlatan says no.
I dislike Zlatan, due to his massive ego, but I have to admit, he's right up there.

Sorry, but that made me laugh a bit.

That's fine, people will say its Liverpool bias but he is the joint top scorer in the world at the moment, in the least amount of games and doesnt take penalties (in the case of Ronaldo)... he is averaging a goal every 58 minutes in the Premier League

All of this why playing for a team that isn't considered anywhere near elite level... Special player
