Pretty dire?

we were poorer than usual but the 2nd half we dominated most of it... Chelsea took advantage of poor refereeing and a few lucky deflections which lead to the goals

chelsea played very well first half but to say Liverpool were dire is wrong. If decisions had gone correctly it would have been a different result

Yeah Liverpool did not take advantage of any lucky deflections to score their goal right? Take of those Liverpool tinted glasses please...

Bored of hearing people say we are no longer in contention for anything because we lost to the two best teams in the league.. In quite unfortunate circumstances. We were awful against Chelsea though, albeit only just slightly more awful than them.

Oscar's tackle was a red, but then Lucas' reaction was too...

You'd probably react like that to if somebody tackled you like a complete ******.

Maybe, but none of us are professional footballers with ten other players relying on us and a huge fanbase watching our every move. It was stupid and childish from Lucas.

How were Chelsea awful?! That was probably one of our best performances... We completely stifled you and took you apart on the counter 3-4 times

They were both red card offenses, which is the sad truth about professional football. (;

Okay.

Wonder how you spun the two penalties and two red cards ... Would be interesting to hear
The irony of you talking about them spinning and later ding just that. Eto'o should have a red immediately. Both sides could have had had penalties, Liverpool definitely should have had a penalty. Oscar should have been sent off, Lucas should have been booked, and could have been sent off. Jose was entirely full of **** at the end, and if you think it was mind games or anything other than him being totally unable to admit the fact that Eto'o should be off and Suarez had a nailed on pen denied, then you are being ridiculous to the point I don't think I can take you seriously again, because that interview was elaborate garbage.

Dafuq? When did I even mention anything about Jose and the interview?! I already admitted that the balance of refereeing decisions was in our favour just like it was in their favour when we last met at Anfield... Strangely enough, I don't see anyone criticizing Mignolet or Skrtel who both made mistakes allowing Eto to score, 2 mistake in as many games I might add. If Liverpool actually played better, they still would have nicked the game but they were dire for most parts and didn't deserve anything

And what did you expect Jose to say? Oh yes that should have been a penalty and Eto should have been sent off and we should have lost? Get real...

He could have said anything other this elaborate **** about praising English players and the game and getting it done over winter, and patronising Rodgers. But sure, fall back onto the "they got it last time" as if it makes it any better. Then somehow pin the blame on Saurez for Eto'o being a ***.

Lol so why are you arguing with me over what Mourinho said in the post-match interview? Many managers do the same and avoid the issue altogether if the decisions their team for was controversial, it's hardly a new fad. And no my intention was never to make anything better, all I was pointing out was that sometimes you get decisions in your favour and sometimes you don't ... Get over
it. And I never ever pinned the blame on Suarez, all I said was that he made a meal of the challenge which certainly didn't help him especially with his reputation preceding him

Stop putting words in my mouth mate

I never said we wasn't fortunate in our goal... all three goals were lucky deflections that fell to players in good positions

Dire is very harsh. First half we were poor. We improved second half, and could, and should have really, got at least one. Sakho's header, the Suarez penalty appeal et al. Chelsea played well first half, but it's a bit of a **** take, Eto'o's tackle early on which made hendo leave with an injury, which could have potentially got him sent off, then he scored, then he twatted Suarez, just rubs salt in the wound.

Apparently we're getting Tello on loan with an option to buy.

if that's true, then another full back, maybe two, and a midfielder please.

Couldnt have said it any better.

Italian and Spanish media seemed to ignore Jose antics most of the time where as the media here lap it up. All the bad decisions from a terrible refereeing performance all overshadowed by a Jose comment about Suarez diving which he didn't

You hardly threatened in the second half... Sakho's header was one, can't remember too many other than long-range strikes from Suarez and Johnson. In that case we should have one as well when Eto was one on one with the keeper or when Torres beat 2-3 players and shot from inside the box. Works both ways really

Jose never said Suarez dived... That's just a huge misleading headline. Jose just said Suarez exaggerated the fall which he did

Look at the quotes yourself mate. Fact is fact ... I wouldn't be here defending him if he had said anything different

"It is not a tackle. Suarez lost the duel with Azpilicueta, who has the ball and is leaving the box, now he is doing an acrobatic swimming pool jump to try to get a penalty."

"He is so clever because he also knows he is in the area with the Liverpool supporters behind him, But [referee Howard] Webb is 10 metres away and I think the only mistake he did was not to give him a yellow card."

His quotes. you get a yellow card for simulation, Jose saying Suarez dived and should have been booked for doing so

Irrelevant. I completely understand his motives and getting scythed down by a national teammate in a world cup year blah blah blah, but that's not how it works.

re: the Jose comments, it's total bullshit. Of course it is, it's Jose and he got a controversial decision going his way: he's never going to say that the referee made a mistake.

Should Eto'o have been sent off? Yes. Should Suarez have had a penalty? Yes. Should Hazard have had a penalty? Yes. Does the fact that Suarez has a reputation for diving make him less likely to get decisions now after he's cheated refs on multiple occasions? Yes. Should Oscar and Lucas both have been sent off? Yes, but the game was over at that point. If you guys are really serious about getting top 4, you'd be better off looking at what you did wrong (odd tactics, bad subs, Suarez isolated) rather than saying you lost it because of the ref.
