If that loan is Nigel de Jong, I'm not going to complain too much.

Just because loans have not worked in the past, does not mean it wont work now

I'd rather get loans in for now with no risk (just initial fee) than buy for the sake of it

Absolute rubbish!

I just dont understand the sheer negativity from most of the LFC fanbase.. No signings means we definitely dont finish top 4? a position we currently sit with the squad we already have

The fact we play nearly all our big games at home. The fact we have 4 or 5 first choice players out injured due to be coming back, espeically defensively?

We need players but no need for the over exaggeration. it's like fans want us to fail to be proved right.

That's a mute point for me because the big clubs are more than capable of getting a result at your pad.

Obviously they're capable, i never said they are straightforward wins. But just like any side in the world playing in front of your own fans gives you a boost

Our home record this season is very very good

Hardly a mute point, Chelsea and City are both great examples of how home and away form can be vastly different.
Granted big clubs are more than capable but you can say that about pretty much every club.

Its a silly point to make... obviously you would rather play Man City at Anfield than at the Etihad

We dont do that and i cant see us ever doing it in the future under FSG. They have learnt since Comolli and Daglish wasted their money...

Agreed but in Salah's case, it's just a few million, a premium that is normal in January anyways. At this level, you can't really afford to dither for too long. That's how both Liverpool and Arsenal lost Mata as well

Ayre's a daft ****, already know that. However he must be under orders directly from FSG.

I'd really love it if our owners were around more often, to show they care, and that LFC isn't just a cash cow to them

Its a bit stupid really. 2 and half months spent negotiating on a player and you lose him just because Ayre wasn't ready to stump up a few million. Not to mention that Salah was your top transfer target and this is probably the best season for you lot to get into the CL. You could see how disappointed Rodgers was at this ... Any idea if Liverpool are looking at any other players?

I agree sometimes you have too, just cant see it happening unfortunately

Got to feel sorry for Rodgers though mate ... He has made Liverpool play some absolutely brilliant football and if some luck had gone his way (vs Chelsea/City), Liverpool could very well be top of the table now. Owners need to back him and at least get in a player whom they identified as the top transfer target especially when you see rivals like United strengthening significantly with Mata

People love to have a moan and overreact, if we get a player great, if not we have plenty of encouraging signs with many players coming back from injury

and what people seem to forget is we still are in 4th despite people claiming if we dont sign anyone we will never get CL

I agree mate but you can bet that United will make a strong assault on the Top 4 in the second half and if they get that, with the money they have coming in from sponsorship deals, they could easily mould another great team. This is Liverpools best chance of getting Top 4 with Chelsea/City/United going through a transition and they should really try and cement that by securing targets that Rodgers seems priority. If I am not wrong, your depth in certain areas is a bit shallow no?

We need improving quite a bit, especially at full back, defensive midfield and on the wings but we have finished 7th or below in the past 4 seasons, we are improving massively

Im still confident we can achieve 4th with or without new signings this January

I honestly cannot believe what I am seeing

Wasn't expecting that.
Coutinho has looked much better playing central, Henderson and Gerrard both looking solid.
Sterling and Sturridge both tracking back and both are lethal on the counter.

Suarez has been the only quite one so far <)

Nvm, he scored.

Brilliant performance so far, punished their mistakes so well

Dirty **** Mirallas.

He is. Him and Barry are a dirty pair of testicles.

Just as I'm typing this Mirallas has decided to give Kelly a push, off the ball. Lmao.

What a game! We didn't get much possession, but boy did we use it well when we did! We were sensational on the counter-attack, and decent in defence.

Think our next home game against Arsenal will be one of the biggest of the season. If we get a win at West Brom, and we against Arsenal, dare I say we could challenge for the title?

Its so hard to judge with the league being so close this year.
