boy did i jump up high after that stevie goal.... what a win. scared about spurs though, their plugging away

We need a new academy manager since McParland and Borrell left. What's that Fraser guy like?

Wouldn't exactly call him a reject seeing as though he still works for Chelsea <)

Don't know much about him just that he's head of recruitment for u-15s and u-19s and has some control over the younger coaching groups.

Not taking away from Sterling as I think he's done well this season... but this paragraph is a good conclusion.

Januzaj has a very bright future in front of him and looks set to turn into a brilliant player, with the Belgian already looking like one of the best players on the pitch when he has played. The difference being that Januzaj has played a bit part in a team that has struggled this season, while Sterling is playing with players such as Coutinho and Suarez who supply him with balls in behind the defence to run onto, while Januzaj is given the ball and expected to do something with it.

How times have changed.. stating United are the struggling team and Liverpool have the better teammates

Strange considering they were champions only last season

Very impressive from Sterling, maturing well

Isn't it just. He's matured at quite a rate considering only last season he was talented but raw, with poor decision making, whereas now he's playing with his head as well as his feet.

To be fair on Sterling I do remember quite a few games last season where he performed well. This season obviously it's highlighted more due to Liverpool doing better as a team. But he was pretty good last season too, even though Liverpool weren't that great.

Not saying he didn't do well last season, just suggesting that his consistency has massively improved. He's learning how to influence the game when he's being watched by the opposition, which is invaluable.

Hopefully Ibe comes through and does just as well now he's back fit and getting some game time again.

Like you said, was very inconsistent.. It ended with him disappearing for the last few months of the season last year

always shown glimpses, though

Januzaj
Goals - Sunderland, Sunderland, West Ham
Assists - Fulham, Spurs, Sunderland

Sterling
Goals - Norwich, Spurs, Cardiff, Arsenal, Arsenal
Assists - Norwich, City

And also Sterling has played more matches and using current average league position (I know) has had to play harder matches this season. I would say this would skew both players stats towards each other.

Not say that Sterling will be better, is better or whatever, Januzaj looks immense considering his age. Just thought that it'd put another perspective to the debate.

And I know that the average league position is a poor way of doing it considering it's mid season, doesn't take into consideration injuries/suspensions and is using the current league positions as opposed to the final and/or league positions at the time of the matches (which I would think would be worse than the way I done it.)=]

Why are the two being compared anyway? I hadn't even thought of comparing the two before. The first I heard of it was last week.

Because its two youngsters who are having a very good season, playing for the two bigger sides in the league

Why wouldn't they be compared? Or are you doing that annoying "Why would anyone compare Ronaldo & Messi!?!?!" thing obnoxious people do?
