Why are the two being compared anyway? I hadn't even thought of comparing the two before. The first I heard of it was last week.

How else would you get a barometer of how good players are?

If someone had never watched/heard/seen/whatever about football. And we showed him highlights of Messi, it would mean nothing to him. Because there is no comparison to what he is seeing.

Because its two youngsters who are having a very good season, playing for the two bigger sides in the league

Why wouldn't they be compared? Or are you doing that annoying "Why would anyone compare Ronaldo & Messi!?!?!" thing obnoxious people do?

Yeah players are compared all the time. But the amount of discussion over these two in the past two weeks has been ridiculously. People are arguing and getting butthurt over whos better, or whos made more passes, or whos spat snot out of the back of their throat. The bottom line is that they are both good young prospects.

And messi and ronaldo? There is no comparison. ;)

What the ****?

That's the point I tried to make by posting the initial article, it was never to initiate a Sterling vs Januzaj argument.. It was purely to recognize Sterling's performances the way Januzaj has been recognized recently.

As for who is better, and who has more potential is completely subjective.

My god. If someone has never heard of or seen anything about football. And you explain the basics of the game to him then show him Messi. He wouldn't be able to tell that he is the best player in the world, because he hasn't seen other people play before. For all he knows every football player is capable of what Messi does. And until he -COMPARES- other players to Messi, he won't have a barometer of how good any player is.

Please understand this time because I don't think I can simplify it much more.

I was probably just sick of seeing the two repeatedly compared. Moving on... this Teixeira looks like yet another hot prospect. He was a bit unlucky with injuries if I'm remembering the right person. Good to see him work his way up into the squad.

How do you know? Have you maybe compared his ability with other players? No idea why you're comparing him to other players.

He has some serious back issues and wore a brace for 6months.

Got a home tie against Everton if we beat Arsenal today!

Have to say huge credit to Rodgers for re-inventing Gerrard. Watching his quality ball through to Sturridge is reminiscent of his link up with Torres.

Dont really deserve to be behind at half time. Could have had at least 2 already is Sturridge put his chances away

Quite bad, but not even that bothered we are losing this... Although it would have been nice to win, it just allows us to concentrate even more on the league.

At least we can now concentrate on cementing our top 4 Position i guess.

Really wasn't expecting a reply like this looks like i gave up to soon

& That was a definite pen!! :@
