The man involved in a punch up in a bar caught on CCTV???? In my eyes off the field incidents should not matter, they are footballers so we should judge them on their football why should i care if they sleep around how does it effect me in any way? I never slated Giggs for what he done, Rooney for what he done and Terry for what he done. And all of Suarez's incidents happen on the pitch that's why he deserves the bad press he gets.
But that's not how it works. They're role models, whether they like it or not, whether they do it on-the-pitch or off-the-pitch.

And if you're going to argue that it doesn't affect you in any way, then surely your team winning is the same thing? If Chelsea win the title, it doesn't directly affect you, just as if Terry shagged Wayne Bridge's girlfriend. The fact is, much of professional football doesn't directly affect the fans, yet they still feel like it does - so the same logic should be applied to their off-the-field antics.

1. So if Chelsea would have been applauded for the defensive football had it actually got them anywhere as you claim ... Why are Liverpool being applauded for their attacking football when it hasn't gotten them anywhere either? Contradicting yourself I see. Plus the whole idea that City should have secured the title earlier is completely irrelevant. You asserted that Livepool is the ONLY pl club that deserves recognition for the football they play, yet city play the same type of football and don't get nearly enough credit as you do. Secondly, I emphasize again that if both compact defensive football and attacking football are equally hard to play, then why is one applauded by the other demonized?

2. Yeah the fact that you had no CL for the past few seasons and still suffered in the league shows how **** you were. Congratulations on lifting yourself out of mediocrity I suppose?

3. Yeah it's a good season for you lot. No one actually denied that. I just love how the smug levels on this thread have fallen so drastically after the last 2 EPL games. The best part would be that it was Gerrards slip that will cost Liverpool the title in the end. Make us dream! YNWA!!!

1/ Not contradicting myself at all, if you can't see what we've achieved then you must be blind or perhaps just ignorant. You keep talking about City like they've defied all the odds? They play some good football, Toure particularly, but they haven't exactly shocked anyone with anything they've done. Also, I don't really care why the media dislike defensive football so much, why would I?

2/ Haha, that's cute.

3/ Not entirely sure how we've been smug? We've been proud of our team though, for the first time in a long time, not really something you can say yourself though, I suppose. You sat top for the whole of March before we all watched you bottle it against Villa, Palace & Sunderland.. or have you forgotten that already? Just find it ironic you all sit and laugh at Gerrard's mistake because it makes you feel better about your clubs terrible campaign.

I'v never seen you post anything in here before but that sir is brilliant!

No-one has said Liverpool haven't done well this season mate if we did then we would be lying simple as that, they have overachieved and deserve praise for doing so. I'm just saying some of the media coverage has been embarrassing stories such as "If Liverpool win the title then Gerrard will be Premier League's best player ever" and "The real Captain-Leader-Legend is Gerrard not Terry". The number of Liverpool based "pundits" and i use that term as loosely as Katie Price's **** who spout pure and utter rubbish week in week out. Its things like that and the shear amount of Liverpool fans who are absolutely unbearable winners amongst other things which makes me delighted it won't be Liverpool lifting that trophy on Sunday.

Obviously these are bullshit stories, why would you be so gullible as to actually consider them genuine journalism? The majority of online journalism is about getting views which is why 80% of the time an article is some retards opinion or is actually nothing to do with the outrageous headline. Having said that, the second one is obviously true :)

1) Plenty of clubs use their youth academy players. Manchester United for one ... How in the world is this mutually exclusive to you?

2) So does Southampton ... Again it isn't mutually exclusive to you

3) Lol ... I deserve to win the Ballon D' Or myself

4) So?

5) Good for you. Let's just ignore the fact that major changes happened this season which accelerated your rise to the top of th table

tbh I don't think anyone actually belittled your achievements. Everyone agreed that you had a great season but it's just hilarious to see how the mood on this thread has dropped drastically after the Chelsea and Palace game. All that smugness and YNWA bullshit out of the window .... I love it!

Go away

Don't compare Stevie's incident to JT's.

I'd rather be caught having a fight then caught sleeping with my mates ex, getting her pregnant in the process.

But it was a transitional season, Jose said this season he didn't expect anything and they don't even have a good striker... Sigh.

Chelsea are the small horse after all. Quite staggering how much Chelsea fans are very happy with their season.

Its amusing and i'm not saying it looking for Chelsea fans to bite... They have one of the best squads, biggest budgets and 'the special one' returned in a season in which United struggled and many sides were perhaps below par

You think it would be the United fans that would be bitter, after all our rivalry runs long and deep. But some of the Chelsea fans on here, ****** ****, stop chomping on lemons.

Sky Sports: Liverpool want to sign Adam Lallana before the World Cup

Many reports broke on this the other week with Lallana apparently very keen to make the move.. Liverpool want to pay around 16-18mil but Southampton want 25mil if you believe rumours!

Whereas us, we have one of the best squads in Europe, with no passengers in the team, and have had fifty years to build this team. #MourinhoMindGames

Yeah, what's surprised me is that Chelsea fans seem to be more smug about Gerrard's slip than United fans. Interesting really, considering the poor season United have had.

Makes sense. Southampton under no pressure to sell and their chairman said there had been no contact as of yet recently.

well if our season had not been such a mind **** i think you would have seen more utd fans on here taking the **** but this chelsea anger i dont get

It'll probably turn into something similar to the Dempsey situation, where we refuse to pay above ?18 million and Southampton sell him to someone else.

Although tough negotiating has been used in the past i think they will have learnt from their mistakes a little bit... Plus we have more manoeuvre in the transfer market with added funds from UCL qualification now

I suppose, but I think mentality has affected our transfers more than our actual financial capabilities - that is to say, we've been able to sign players but haven't because we weren't willing to 'overspend'. I doubt that's going to change much this summer, although that's just my personal opinion.
