Makes sense. Southampton under no pressure to sell and their chairman said there had been no contact as of yet recently.

Saints have to give 25% to Bournemouth IIRC

Southampton still owe ?27 million to other clubs regarding previous transfers. Although they say it doesn't have an impact, a decent bid will perhaps force their hand

well if our season had not been such a mind **** i think you would have seen more utd fans on here taking the **** but this chelsea anger i dont get

Benitez finishes 3rd while securing major trophy - worst manager ever and basically next Hitler.

Mourinho finishes 3rd with no trophy - our season went so great, we have to spend 5 hours a day for a month in Liverpool thread bragging about it.

But that's not how it works. They're role models, whether they like it or not, whether they do it on-the-pitch or off-the-pitch.

And if you're going to argue that it doesn't affect you in any way, then surely your team winning is the same thing? If Chelsea win the title, it doesn't directly affect you, just as if Terry shagged Wayne Bridge's girlfriend. The fact is, much of professional football doesn't directly affect the fans, yet they still feel like it does - so the same logic should be applied to their off-the-field antics.

Any person who see's a player as a role model needs their head testing when it comes to off the field stuff. So your telling me a kid who adores Terry will think to himself "i'll **** my mates ex misses one day" and it will be all down to Terry. Not a chance, that says more about the parenting and the person itself than it does Terry or anyone else.

And it was Bridge's EX misses not misses.

And i support Chelsea FC so if they win i'm happy if they don't i'm sad because i support them so yes it does effect me. No Chelsea players are my role model, the only person's Terry's actions should have hurt was his wife and his children no-one else.

Where the **** have you read that?

An online paper, can't remember which one as i got shown the link and threw up halfway through reading it.

Don't compare Stevie's incident to JT's.

I'd rather be caught having a fight then caught sleeping with my mates ex, getting her pregnant in the process.

Erm did i compare the two incidents? The point was said that Gerrard was squeeky clean when he very well isn't.

Chelsea are the small horse after all. Quite staggering how much Chelsea fans are very happy with their season.

Who said we were happy? Find somewhere were i said the words "i'm happy with not winning anything and finishing 3rd". You won't because i never said it. I have said from day 1 of the season that i didn't expect us to win anything this season so i am content with this season because i can see progress and i can also see what needs to be done and noises coming out of the club suggest they are being sorted. Jose also said from day 1 "not this season but next (14/15) we will be ready" so i think its only fair i judge him on that quote. But because its Mourinho it was a disaster that we didn't win the treble by November! This is a totally different job to which he has normally taken on so he is learning too as well as the club. We got hammered by being a short term thinking club (although it saw A LOT of success) and now we are giving the long term a go we are getting hammered after 12 months!

I've tried to stay out of this after I basically wrote an essay on this pointless discussion going on here but FM-Base just messed it up.

The thing is, we haven't lost to QPR at home. We were fighting for Title till the end even if we may finish at the same position. We won't finish MILES behind league leaders. And under Benitez we were fighting for 3rd/4th place. Arsene style! And when he took over we were in better position in league.

Also, personal hatred towards that specific manager is also the reason he's hated among Chelsea fans, anything wrong with that? I don't see.

Its amusing and i'm not saying it looking for Chelsea fans to bite... They have one of the best squads, biggest budgets and 'the special one' returned in a season in which United struggled and many sides were perhaps below par

It was an average season, we are looking to the future for once which is the right path to take.

But it was a transitional season, Jose said this season he didn't expect anything and they don't even have a good striker... Sigh.

Everything you just said are all in the word of the fat spanish waiter "facts".

You think it would be the United fans that would be bitter, after all our rivalry runs long and deep. But some of the Chelsea fans on here, ****** ****, stop chomping on lemons.

I'm not bitter about anything at all bud trust me, just happy we mentally f****d Liverpool's title challenge up.

Chelsea have a hatred towards Liverpool, it started on the pitch with the Jose vs Rafa battles but there is a far bigger and more disgusting battle which goes on between the clubs for a while now.

Benitez just wasn't liked and just wasn't Chelsea its as simple as that. And to be fair Jose never got a chance to win the Europa League so wouldn't be fair using that against him.

QPR at home! Why did you bring this back up lol!!! I only make it to max 5 games a season and THAT happened to be one of them!!!!! Easily the worst game of football i have seen Chelsea play without a doubt.

Yeah, what's surprised me is that Chelsea fans seem to be more smug about Gerrard's slip than United fans. Interesting really, considering the poor season United have had.

It's very simple. We don't really care much what other clubs are upto, who slips where and how or how their season shapes up. After this disastrous season, we know we're going to be back near the top next season, and ruling it soon too. Eventually. It's that natural born arrogance which makes us ambivalent to most events that happen.. xD =P

But in all seriousness, we had that natural arrogance without getting complacent, and we'll get that back the next season..

lol firstly we are not bragging ... We are just laughing at how badly Liverpool ****** up. Secondly, rational CFC fans supported Benitez, so only god knows when people will drop that stupid argument

Chelsea top of the league for 9 weeks, bottled it. Doesn't matter we were never in contention, Jose knows what he's doing.

Liverpool top of the league for 5 weeks, bottled it. Most hilarious thing ever, how could they let it slip!? TROLOLOLOL

I'll do what Jose did. Man City always had games in hand when we were top. :P Never had actual lead.

But Jose said they are not in title race and they are little horse?

Chelsea made the biggest bottle job but it won't be mentioned anywhere. They lost points to Sunderland and Norwich at home, had they won they would have been at the top with 1 point lead with game against Cardiff.

It's not even dropping points against bottom teams at the start, it's during April and May where titles are won and lost.

Isn't it about time this whole Chelsea/Liverpool thing was put to bed?

At least up until sunday, at least... I mean, It could get even worse if Liverpool do somehow win the Premier League

Amen to that! (that is, stopping of the arguement, not Liverpool winning the title, as a United fan, I'd definitely not want that!)

It's getting to the point where I want to zzzzzzzzzzzz now.

Anyway, getting away from the pointless, childish, irksome.....BS bickering.

Very surprised to see Rodgers supporting the B team idea/"Division 3" idea. Surely he knows it'll pretty much screw up the infrastructure/pyramid?

I have the feeling most top clubs will be supporting it, since it provides a better competitive league for their youngsters to play in? But then, tbf, I haven't had time to peruse the entire article, just semblances of some..

It's a case of good will-but very poor, dangerous implementation
