It was the side i said i would have liked before the game and I'd be tempted to start with it against Hull on Saturday if all are fit

Commentator said Sterling has taken part in every Liverpool game since December 2013. Wtf is wrong with Rodgers??

No insult losing to Madrid. The insult is their second two goals and the manner it's happened.

Good to see the majority of people inside Anfield clapping Ronaldo off. He is, in my opinion, the best footballer in the world and deserves that recognition

Absolutely superb player mate and he has been brilliant this season. His finish for the 1st goal was out of this world

And that completely changed the game - we were the better side. Competing, pressing but the goal deflated us and then an 18th minute blitz ended the game

Around those 18 minutes, it wasn't a bad performance just the usual sloppiness in defence

Pool good for 15-18 mins then the press eased and sloppy defending took over. Pool had couple decent chances on the break. Ballo was poor! Good job Madrid have El Classico on Sat, was in 1st gear all second half.

Think the way Liverpool were pressing the Madrid players initially also wasn't going to be sustainable over 90 minutes. But yeah after that blitz, it's game over. Thought Liverpool still had their moments and played a good second half

I would've clapped him. Still rather have Messi.

You can say they're the best team in the world or have the best player in the world but we could've been playing against QPR again and lost 3-0.

No tracking back from the CB as usual. We had 3 DM's yet only one of them was ever putting a shift in. Then on the attack Allen was sitting in the hole and couldn't control anything that came his way.

Like for like subs when we needed a change in system.

Rodgers not happy with Balo shirt swapping. Would have Ronnie all day long at the min, but that's for another thread.
