To be fair, Rodgers doesn't seem like the type to air his dirty laundry in the open. The fact that every transfer has to be vetted by the majority of the committee means he doesn't have the last say. Then again, I think reports of how he has his hands tied behind his back by the transfer committee who refuse to listen to his spectacular ideas is also probably exaggerated
 
Its probably made up not exaggerated. People on the committee are not mugs. The only guy with no real competence in football is the director. Rest of the guys have the exact kind of expertise that would require hearing their advice before making any transfer moves, committee or not. They're not just going to force on Rogers 5 blind guys on a wheelchair as first squad players. That's nonsense.

Also, as far as I understand the whole thing operates on majority vote, so it would naturally gravitate towards safer choices since people 3 people out of 4 need to agree for any deal to happen. Balotelli is basically most risky choice on the planet, so there's 0 chance he just got voted in out of the blue, unless someone on the committee convinced the others, that he can sort out Mario.

And the person who's job would be to sort out Mario is...

I would be interested to see if Brenton gets more money this January. For me personally I would like to see it because I think he can do better transfer window than the last one. On the other hand, it's going to be fun reading what Liverpool fans think about it.

Confirmed 52 passes in that goal. Only playing Bournemouth but still had an ****** over it.

Markovic needed this performance. Also Lallana was very good tonight.
 
Good performance, first half was fantastic but the Jones mistake shown how low our confidence is. It was a very shaky last 30 mins because of it!
 
Went the game we were won 79-78 on penalties. Walking out the ground I told everyone we were going to go on and win that now. Should've put a bet on it.

I think we'll do Chelsea over the two legs.

We know how it feels to throw away lead against midtable clubs. Thankfully few years back Berbatov scored a winner and hattrick to save us.
