Uhm no, that's not gonna happen, he won't be sold to a league rival. We didn't even accept Arsenal's bid of £40m for Suarez even though it activated a clause. There's no chance in **** they'll sell him to City, Chelsea or Arsenal.
LOL ok.

Dont matter if Pool cash in on him now,he buys out his contract or he leaves on a free he is gonna end up at a rival simple.

Bayern München and Real Madrid aren't league rivals, how can you be so certain he's gonna end up with a Premier League team? Do you know Sterling personally or something?

Would say Pep might like sterling but i doubt pep will still be at bayern in a year or two.

Nope but I cant see how he is gonna get in those teams atm no chance.

First of all, that's your opinion. Secondly, how does it matter? Ødegaard signed for Real Madrid, probably because they had the biggest wallet. Thirdly, how can you be so certain he's not gonna sign a new contract? You say "he's gonna end up at a rival simple" as if it's guaranteed. Is the Twitter rumour hoarding getting to your head perhaps..?

Odegaard is completely different is 16 and signed for Madrid knowing he would not be starting for them, cant see Sterling going anywhere to sit on the bench or reserves. Maybe he will end up abroad but I think imo that he will end up at one of the top 2 in the Prem. How can you be certain he will? Rejected big fee, then says he wants to win things etc etc in that interview. Sounds like hes pushing for a move away to me. If I was him I would stay and continue his development and see where the club is or how he feels nearer the end of his new contract.

Why would it be career suicide? If he goes somewhere like Arsenal he would thrive.

And be in almost exactly the same position as at Liverpool - Would be a silly move, just like Suarez's potential move before

The way this is all coming out right now sounds a bit like Anelka at Arsenal, anyone else think so?

Ødegaard knew he wasn't gonna be starting for them but signed anyway, that's my point. He could've signed for a team with a shorter way to the first team, but he didn't. He could've gone to Ajax which would've been a great move for him. He could've gone to Liverpool where there's a manager who's not afraid to use youngsters, and it's even his favorite team. But ultimately he signed for Real Madrid, like I said probably because they had the biggest wallet. And besides, Sterling is easily Europe's best 20 year old, both Bayern and Real would definitely give him plenty of chances.

As for the whole "wanna win trophies", that's what every player wants. But if he wants to win European trophies like CL, he's obviously better off at Bayern or Real than City or Chelsea. If he wants to win PL, his best bet would be to stay at Liverpool for the time being. And not because we're gonna win it "next season", but because we all know Mourinho doesn't stay in one place too long, and City have an aging squad and are gonna have to deal with FFP sooner or later. Moving to one of those clubs now could easily prove to be a bad decision in a couple years time. He has plenty of years ahead of him, his career has barely started.

He says he wants to be as good as he can be, and where better to continue his development than the club that made his breakthrough? That gave him the chance as a teenager, are playing him week in week out, and are offering him enough money to buy a house every month?

As for your question "How can you be certain he will?", I've already stated I'm not certain at ALL that he'll sign a new contract. If you go back just 1 page, you'll see that I'm only 50% certain - it could go either way. But to me it's obvious why he hasn't signed: Money. His whole interview was him repeating he's not a money-grabber, but he even admitted that he'd have signed a year ago for much less money. To me it sounds like he's pushing for money, and if that includes a move away, then he'll move. If Liverpool accept his demands (which they probably won't) then he'll stay.

If he does go to City or Chelsea, it's gonna be a new British transfer record, that's for sure. As for the Webster ruling, I can't see that happening even in a parallel universe.

Good post only thing im not so sure on is him being the best young talent in Europe atm.

Odegaard is ******* 15-16. He would not start for any top club. He wouldn't start for any middle table cub. You're massively overrating his abilities. Sterling strikes me as someone who wants to play all the time. Guess which club should be perfect for him? And that club is in need for a tricky winger.
