Honestly be surprised if Rodgers stays on. I can't see a way back. He's seemingly lost the fans', lost the players, and walking a tight rope.

If he stays on, gets his players he wants, and then we start the season badly again, the pressure on him would be huge and it'd only get worse and worse. then we'd be stuck with his signings, and a new manager.

Agreed, it's a big ask now to back him, as he has lost 80% of the club in my eyes, so a bad start next season could ruin us.

With managers such a Klopp, Benitez, Ancelotti all available at the moment, it would be strange for us not to go for at least one of them. We need someone players can trust, and we need different targets to the players were targeting now.

I can't see why a player would want to come and play for Rodgers seeing how he's lost the players this season.

Granted the three managers names I have named are slightly unrealistic, but you've got to at least try!

Rodgers would need to have instant success next season to keep his job and win back everyone, and I have finally lost hope that he can do it. Especially without the figure of Steven Gerrard at the club.

I wish him all the best if he goes, but I think if there ever was a time, it's now!

No thanks, too injury prone. £50m up front or no deal.

50/50 on Jove, do really like him but yeah, injury prone to ****, and with Sturridge probably not the best combination with injuries.

Doubt we will get £50 million though...

Jovetic is a good player but don't think he will ever be a top TOP player now. When I used to watch him years ago in Italy (around the 11-12 season I think) I thought he could be. But now, I don't think it'll happen.

Very good player to have in your squad, but not a regular match winner for me.

I miss his big mop head hair style though :(

he will be sacked next week there's now way back for him now he has lost half the fan base.

Unfortunately for us, we can't attract TOP players at the moment!

I don't think it's 100% definite, but I can see it being likely.

Not doing so could really hurt the clubs development. Time will tell.

Not particularly bothered where Sterling ends up so long as it's NOT at Liverpool. I, like many, am so over the arrogant, egotistical jumped up lil' **** it's not even funny.

The real irony would be if he did end up at City. It's been an open secret up here all year that he wants out of the North West to return to London. If he went down the East Lancs that would just sum him up. But it's not about the money .....

As happens I doubt Liverpool will sell to another English club. Which is ridiculous in itself as he's not half the player he's made out to be. He's had three VERY up and down years with more downs than ups. The potentials there to be a very good player. But that's all it is. Potential. Currently all pace with little end product, woeful finishing and no left foot. Everything Jordan Ibe isn't.

Provided the money is reinvested in the team, it's a no brainier.

Exactly! I can't see him getting much game time at a bigger club either...

Sell the ***, but the money can't be wasted!

I've actually gotten a little more sympathy for Sterling after this season's ending. Who the **** can blame him for wanting to leave, honestly? Sure, his agent is a dickface and he's not exactly the fastest fish in the pond himself, but not many footballers are tbh.

I feel certain he's leaving, but not so sure Rodgers will leave. I wish it was the other way around.

If West Ham apparently had hopes of Ancelotti, surely we could give it a go?

He's get the best of Balotelli, he's a similar player to Ronaldo imo and look how good Ronaldo did under him.

EDIT:

Was going to hope I'd get someone to bite on this, but might be offline all night and don't want people to believe I was genuinely serious :P

Yeah, think everyone realised it was a joke when you compared Ballotelli to CR7. Anyhow, Ancelotti is supposedly taking a sabbatical - apparently he's getting a surgery done for something.

Reading all these comments summing up rodgers deficiencies has me grinning like a cheshire cat. i dont want to say i told you so but i told you so. i remember posting that rodgers was a fraud in disguise months ago but was told i was wrong by jamiewilliams and lfcmarshall all pointing to last seasons hype. but how much of that was down to rodgers or the high pressure system that suited our fast forwards etc... what he essentially did was press the ball turn it over quickly high up the pitch and get suarez and sturridge etc... closer to the goal. remember what cost us last season the title was not gerrards slip, but our defensive organisation was abysmal and it is still the same a year on, again not learning from his mistakes. you dont win the league letting in as much goals as a team near the bottom of the table. my problem is if he does stay on next season i dont think i can take another year of watching my beloved lfc with this man in charge who has not improved us for the 3 seasons he has been in charge. come to think of it what are his credentials apart from his bullshit philosophy nonsense he talks about that is passing for the sake of passing. he failed at watford and reading, broken how many records. ffs.

Knew there would be a point where you would come back and say this, this could be a fair point.

But I still stand proud that I stuck by him for as long as I did. Over time there is always a point when someone turns, he didnt deserve that in Feb/March, but yeah now I can't see it working for Rodgers.

I've said again and again, blame Rodgers all you want, and I am to an extent, but blame some of the players that put the shirt on too, whether Rodgers signed them or not, they don't put the effort in.

We've lost it this season as a club, but I will always be thankful to Rodgers and yes you could say Suarez and Sturridge for the football I watched last season.

This whole football club is at fault for the season, not just Rodgers.

But I do agree it's time for change.

its good youve seen the light, but i saw the writing on the wall because i was not looking at the now e.g when we went on a
run of good form. because i saw that he always reverts back to what doesnt work. even the system that we played last years isnt a system that is his. its a variation of bielsa high pressure system. which makes me think what the **** he has done for the past 3 seasons, apart from improve players tactically and technically. im not gonna lie he is a excellent coach but that doesnt mean autamatically you area good manager. even the point about the transfers and players, its the managers duty to motivate his players not alienate them. whenever i ask any rodgers fan i always ask them the same question name me one good thing about him as a manager.

It's an easy one to say now it's unfolded. I remember I found out about Januzaj before he even got into Uniteds team and told people about him, he could have gone either way, so could Rodgers.

I think we need to remember, this current starting XI is probably the 5th best in the league, we over achieved last season.

I think it's time for change because we need a big nane manager to bring players in, I don't think Rodgers can.

"Seen the light" is a bad phrase to use.

Every football fan knows how you never know what to expect in football, you got it right this time, but you also think Milner would only be a squad player, looking at that XI we have out now, he'd be key!

Lol. Yeah, by default, outside of Coutinho, Milner would automatically become our best midfielder.

My issue with the Milner talk is he wouldn't bring anything particularly special. Yeah, he's a good, solid, hard working pro. And yeah, as mentioned, he's better than most anything we have there outside of the lil' Brazilian genius. (How long before Madrid or Barca take him BTW? I give it another season unless things turn dramatically. He's FAR too good for this ****. *Sighs.). But that's not really saying much given the majority are not fit to be here to start with. If we're looking to take it on to the point of even just regularly competing for a top 4 place; then we really need to be looking at better quality than James Milner.

Unless money's at a complete premium like.
