I actually disagree... Emre seemingly goes forward at every opportunity he gets. That's why I'm not sure he can be a natural defensive midfielder that people are calling for
 
Perhaps the lack of a natural DM targeted could suggest a high intensity pressing approach rather than a player that will sit and protect the defence

Milner, Henderson and Can all capable of covering every inch of grass and can do it for 90 minutes aswell

But he's not a world class signing and we haven't spent money... All we have done so far is replace departed/departing squad players. Good business so far providing we now strengthen the first 11

It's only an improvement if it's putting pressure on Mingolet.

Being as he wasn't even Bolton's GK1 last year he won't be doing that so it's in effect swapping like for like and leaving the woeful Belgium as the undisputed, unchallenged # 1. Again.

All Bogdan is, is a body. Maybe he's slightly better than Jones. That's still saying very little. I'd much rather have a youngster like Ward on the bench than bring in someone else like Jones who doesn't add much of anything.

But then not addressing the # 1 is where the real problem lies and will cost Liverpool dear yet again next season.

How is this like making Mingolet the undisputed number 1? This is replacing a reserve keeper with another reserve keeper. Whether or not we bring in another keeper to challenge/ replace Mingolet is another matter and is highly unlikely to be the sort of deal concluded in early June.

You think the real problem in the team is our goalkeeper? Really?!

Who we had for a pittance from Cardiff. The deal was done for a million with add on's.

But Rafa was having his power play delusions of grander and told Parry point blank that he'd have Ramsey at Kirkby with the academy and not part of the first team squad so we pulled the plug as we couldn't justify 7 figures on a 17 year old who wouldn't be involved at the time the way finances and the ownership power struggle were at the time.

And that's straight from the GM at the times mouth.

You honestly wouldn't believe some of the **** Benetiz pulled that he manipulated back onto the club publicly.

Everybody get things wrong, but Rafa also got an awful lot spot on

If you honestly don't see Mingolet as a MAJOR weak link then I don't know what to tell you.

He is what he is. A back-up standard 'keeper (as he was at Sunderland before Gordon got injured and we unbelievably jumped in and shelled out £ 10 million) currently our first choice. ****, as **** poor as Jones was he forced Rodgers to make the change as Mingolet was even worse! And then he slipped back into that the end of the season.

Not sure what was missed there but adding Bogdan to take the place of Jones is nothing else but making Mingolet the undisputed number 1 yet again as he'll put as much pressure on the Belgium as Jones did. None at all.

All he is, is a body.

Certainly needs to develop a lot more discipline into his game. Both within his role and not recklessly diving into challenges. The bookings were adding up the longer the season went on and he was marking himself out.

I'd agree at the moment he's more a box-to-box midfielder, but with time and experience I honestly think he could fit into most any position.

Kid's a football player yer know?

I'll be very shocked if Kovacic is confirmed soon... Still no reporting of it in England whatsoever. Sounds like agent talk to me

For £16mil as well I've seen. Not sure if it's true though.

forget the media outlets, if you search around on the internet you can get info quicker from people who are actually in the know. all these media outlets are useless and are always late with news.
