Pah if only it was that type of night, I only remembered yesterday! Was an emergency florist stop and emergency champagne stop after work today! So far we have watched harry potter with champagne and now are watching black works we are such a rock and roll coupke haha. Its just been the usual saturday night in kids in bed alcohol, TV and snapchat madness.

wish I was watching will stick it on record and watch in morning love Brazil, wish they could get back to their best spent a year there a few years back following Flamengo round and just taking the country in. Was spectacular, but god people think we put pressure on young hopes coming it is nothing like in Brazil especially when a youngster gets the no 10 at Flamengo!!

Man, I'm envious at that so help me.

Always considered Brazil the home of football and the Maracana the ultimate mecca. (Regardless of what England and Wembley try to portray itself as, Brazil and football just can't be beat.).

It's just the weather....

Save yourself wasting an hour and a half of your life. Brazil where shockingly bad. In 90 minutes, they put 4, that's FOUR, balls into Paraguays area. No pace. No flair. No nothing. Paraguay deserved to win in normal time. They only equalised with a penalty that summed up Brazil's awful showing. A boneheaded handball from Thiago Silva looking like he was playing BB. Finished 1-1. Paraguay thoroughly deservedly won the shoot-out 4-3 with Basles young Derlis Gonzalez, who impresses the **** out of me everytime I see him, deservedly scoring the winner.

As regards L'pool, Coutinho had no impact what so ever and Fermino was beyond woeful. He was taken off 70 mins in after barely having a touch. A striker he most definitely is not suited to on that showing.

Brazil ain't no Argentina *runs*

Good Lord Argentina would of absolutely destroyed them the semi on that showing and the last group game I saw.

Take Neymar out, and this isn't a good Brazilian side at all. There's talent like Coutinho and Fermino but no focal point up front to scare anyone. They still have that absolute clown Robinho playing for Gods sake. He was shambolic at both Citeh and Milan.

Yeh Argentina are much better side than Brazil at the moment in pretty much all areas as well. Watched the game last night vs Colombia and they absolutely dominated it, they got so many good players not only in attack obviously but defence as well. Expect them to win Copa America.

I miss the Brasilian team of my youth. Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Cafu, Kaka.

Please can we have them back. It was such a joy watching them.

Argentina has a crazy side right now. Just like their great sides in the 70s and 80s, they not only have a lot of attacking power, but are really tight and disciplined in the back as well.

I'll save myself the bother then because does not sound like it would be good for my hangover, this is also disappointing to hear but hardly surprising Brazilian football has been a mess for a while but I won't get started on that. Hopefully the banning of 3rd party ownership from 2016 onwards will sort some of the problems out, but until there are fundamental changes in league structure and ownership rules I doubt we will see a proper Brazil for a while.

Willing to let Lucas go and still hopeful over Benteke. Fml

Im a big fan of Lucas but injuries have not helped him at all... He has lost alot of physical attributes and being one of the more senior players and on high wages it makes sense BR may want to replace him (or just get rid)

With Can, Allen, Henderson and Milner available there is no surprise

I also think a lot of people do a disservice to Benteke as well. There are better options out there, particularly at the price being quoted but he is not just simply the bully striker many perceive him too be

He has scored 13, 10 and 19 league goals in his three seasons in the Premier League. If we could get him for less than 25mil I would be quite happy. You wont get it for less than that as you pay a premium for strikers who have a good scoring record

So Southampton got their £15 million with an initial 12.5 huh? Those are tough nosed negotiators down there.

Yep. Delighted with this deal... Striker and perhaps a surprise deal and It will be an excellent window for me

Has the feel of the summer of '99 when Gerrard brought in Hamann, Henchoz, Hyypia, Smicer, Titi et all.

Still a LONG way to go in team rebuilding and I'm not even going to try suggest we'll have anything like the success that followed with that group; but to press it's the best window since then IMO.

Hopefully the departures will now start too, and we use that income and what we've already budgeted for wisely to get that striker and hopefully another quality defensive addition.
