It was obvious from the start... Poor wing backs, no creativity and our 3 central midfielders getting seriously overran against the 5 of Arsenal

just move on, still a positive start, still in 2nd place

3rd on goal difference.

looked like rodgers playing only 3 defenders with lucas as dmf? hoep we go for it if we can win here today we could win the league! :)
Sorry what!? If we win here, then we could win the league? Where the **** does that logic come from? Even if Arsenal do win the league next May (which I still strongly believe they won't), just because we beat them in one game doesn't mean we could win the league.

Meh, same thing. It's not like we'll be there at the end of the season, anyway.

yes it does. there on top league. we would have beat the top league if we won. definitely means we could. you just sound like you want to argue with hindsight now

Missed Gerrard too. Hopefully he can play in the next game.

Not defending him, he didn't have a good game but Cissokho was awful, Flanagan wasn't that bad but was never going to provide anything special

it left the 3 CM chasing 5 Arsenal midfielders, basically had no chance... The formation works well with the right players

Heart over head if you think we could have won the league.. Was never a target, nowhere near good enough at the moment

Cisshoko is a player I never will understand why we bought him he is simply not good enough. Wouldn't look out of place in a top Championship side. Also Jon Flanagan gave it his best yesterday but he is just too slow and has no attacking ability. He can't play as a wing back.

And Sunderland beat City the year they won the league. Your point is...? Even if it was towards the end of the season, and we beat the league leaders, then it still wouldn't mean much - unless we were up there with them. They're top win 10 games played, so it's not like they're anywhere near the title themselves. And before you slate me for saying this after our loss yesterday, I've thought neither they or us will win the league this year long before yesterday's game.

Seems a lot of L'pool fans are reading a bit too much into the loss. I know it would have been a statement by beating Arsenal, but Liverpool hardly looked out of ideas and will be banging goals past lesser teams at a regular basis with the 3-5-2 system. The question marks over midfield mobility will hopefully be fixed by Rodgers, he's a decent manager, and hopefully with the first choice wingbacks available you'll overload many teams and pick up big wins.

We have a problem with squad depth, though - once the likes of Coutinho/Johnson/Gerrard, get injured, then we don't play as well as we can. I'm not too disappointed with the loss, though - it was away against a top Arsenal side who are also on-form.

yall seem to forget its form that carries teams through out the league if suarez sturridge keep scoring as they have been and one or two big game results like arsenal went our way thats what makes winning a league possible. beside i said could. it is possible for any of the top 5 teams depneding on results panning out. have to say though Cisshoko definitely looks like our weakest link in last few games for me

No. Champions win due to class, or the right mentality, not form. You may be able to do decently in a season do to having a good spell of form, but there's no chance you can win a league as competitive as the Premier League by a good run of form. And of course, Liverpool can win the league, just as West Brom can beat Barcelona 99-0 at the Camp Nou - but whether its likely they actually will or not is a completely different matter. And I agree, Cissokho has been far from brilliant - it's such as shame since I remember he was a beast at Porto a few years back!

Think people are worrying a little too much. We struggled against, probably the best team in the league [at the moment] but we can still bounce back. As long as we take three points against Fulham we can get back into some good form.

Good win today. It's really nice to see Liverpool in top 3. Been a while...

Great game today. Just what we needed after arsenal. If anyone predicted Arsenal, Liverpool and Southampton would make up the top 3 near 1/3 of the way into the season they would be lying
