You knew me before Jose came? No. It was evident why Oscar was fielded out wide and Not Mata, by Rafa. He put the defensive work on the shoulders of Wingers and relieved Mata of his defensive duties, he's always looked clueless when opposition had the ball. To think I'm listening to Jose and directly blurping out stuff is wrong.
Juan Mata hasn't played too well this season, every player has a dip in form, he's having 'cause of the extra work. He's a phenomenal player, I'd argue the best no.10 not just in the league but around the world (That is if we don't count super-human Messi). On the wings, when he does defensive work, his lack of pace leads him to get stuck in a limbo, so his offensive contribution is diminished. Januzaj is 18 y/o, he's good but decision making isn't mature.

All I'm saying is, if you play both of them, on the wings at time, you'll see how it pans out. Attacking flanks have been strength of United, Cole has always struggled as we all know, but now you might get attacked on the flanks. We'll wait and see.

And my comment is being taken out of context, I never said Mata didn't contribute well, he was absolutely magical for us, I'll never forget his 2 seasons, but Alcaraz said he dragged us single handedly to CL and FA, that is absurd and not true. End of.

Edit: Also, at Chelsea we play two box to box players in the pivot, that's also one of the reasons he couldn't fit in the new system, Lampard and Ramires both like to go forward, although Ramires can tackle but he can't shield defence. FSW used to make a gesture to close down gap b/w defence and midfield all the time.

Not a good performance today, but scored two, conceded none, we're through. Good enough.

Good win today. Played ***** and was painful to watch Cissokho. But it's a good sign when you're playing ***** but still getting results. Brad Jones looked dreadful..
 
Decent win in a game that doesn't matter. Never looked in danger despite how much ITV tried to tell you otherwise. Never got out of first gear so thankfully didn't waste too much energy, didn't look like anyone other than Skrtel & Toure really exerted too much energy. So that's a positive.
 
what do people think about us been linked back with ince, i think its a shame we got from salha to ince
 
Cant stand some fans.. Its alright signing people but like Rodgers said at his press conference we only need to add quality, not more players like Aspas and Alberto

The fact some people are saying we stand no chance if we dont sign someone is absolutely ridiculous.

Rodgers said we're looking for 'quality loans', which just makes you want to weep. There's a reason teams loan out players, how have Cissokho, Sahin, Moses, et al not changed the owners' minds on loans. We don't sign players, we won't finish top four, and we'll lose Suarez and it'll set us back 4 years. It's now or bust

Absolute rubbish!

I just dont understand the sheer negativity from most of the LFC fanbase.. No signings means we definitely dont finish top 4? a position we currently sit with the squad we already have

The fact we play nearly all our big games at home. The fact we have 4 or 5 first choice players out injured due to be coming back, espeically defensively?

We need players but no need for the over exaggeration. it's like fans want us to fail to be proved right.

This is a Chelsea fan site so please don't get mad over the way the article has been written but it's pretty incompetent from Ayre that he took 2.5 months to close the deal for a player from Switzerland with no other potential suitors. Just overpay a bit and get the deal done honestly ... Salah is 21 and has bag loads of talent. Rodgers can develop him well and he will probably be worth twice the amount paid for him in a few years

We dont do that and i cant see us ever doing it in the future under FSG. They have learnt since Comolli and Daglish wasted their money...

Ayre's a daft ****, already know that. However he must be under orders directly from FSG.


I'd really love it if our owners were around more often, to show they care, and that LFC isn't just a cash cow to them
