Did he say that? I honestly haven't seen Brendan say the league isn't a priority, only that he thinks we should take it one game at a time. I may be wrong, though, of course.

The league never was though, the aim has always been top four this season it's been that way since the start of last season pretty much. No one put Liverpool top four never mind being challengers for the title, it's a dumb comparison.

Wrong, i wrote an article before the season even started and even before any transfers that for me the league was not a priority this season and most Chelsea fans actually agreed with it. The main priorities for me this season were top 4, closer than 14 points to the eventual champions if not us and the most important one was the same man in charge this time next season (when i wrote this in the summer).

On Eto'o no-one believed he would be this decent its been a surprise to us all. And the Lukaku loan just highlights he was A) not ready for Chelsea and B) Chelsea planning for past this season.

So you alone writing an article makes everyone elses opinion completely obsolete? Just accept that fact that Chelsea have been seen as title contenders long before the season had started and were always going to be. The only time everyone started saying otherwise was when Mourinho started going on about not being in it and it's not in your hands etc etc.


Also it's amusing to say that Lukaku wasn't ready for Chelsea, he was pretty much railroaded out on loan again despite proving twice now that he's more than capable as a forward. Planning past this season? So when you spend 30-40mil on a forward and he's even less likely to play for Chelsea, brilliant planning.
