CARROLL, DOWNING AND COLE AS A FRONT THREE. WE'RE GONNA WIN THE LEAGUE

Transfer bsns soon then. Looks like we're properly into Lallana, and wanting another 3-5 players. Alberto, Moses, Cissokho and Aspas to leave. (Barrett)

It's staggering how many people can't recognise this and are happy for the top clubs to **** it all up, just so that their team can get slightly better youth development. They don't seem to realise that this is a change that will have serious ramifications for every level of the game.

The heart and soul of English football is that I can go to watch my local club in the ****** Ryman South league and there will be 200 odd people there week in, week out. It's in the little clubs and in the dreamers that climb the divisions, the old names looking to make a resurgence and the young guns who will do as much as possible before they start to fade. English football is a rich myriad of stories and individuals, that's what makes it so special. These changes are more than happy to wipe it all away in a vain effort to turn our setup into little more than a production line for top class players. I don't know about you, but if it's a choice between watching England be a bit less **** once every 2 years (even then, this isn't going to address our actual problems) or keeping the joy and the tears that so many non league fans get week in, week out, then it's an obvious one.

At the end of the day, the Football League sold it's soul the day it accepted financial aide from the Premier League. The only reason almost every FL club is running today is because of the money the PL provide them with. And this is why FL clubs always get **** on when the FA or PL have some new stupid idea. Don't despair though, the PL will be pumping at least another ?30m a year into the FL to keep them quiet.

The guys in this committee seem to be completely disregarding the fact that English football is different to that on the continent. They seem to believe that Spain are suddenly winning everything because of their B-sides playing competitive football... Well, no. They've had B-sides in competitive leagues since the 70's and before 2008 they had won the same amount of major competitions as us, 1 [in the 60's]. They're just being lazy and thinking up ideas that are easy to implement and/ or have already been done.

In all fairness Spain has been vomiting with footballing talent for much longer then just last 6-8 years. The 2002 side may as well have gone to win the World Cup if quarter finals with S. Korea weren't fixed. The sides in the 90s were also pretty **** good even if they haven't won anything. And most importantly, Spain's record in youth competitions absolutely ***** over England going back at least 30 years, and that's just as far as I bothered to check. It hardly seems fair to just look at the trophy cabinet and say they simply stumbled upon gold generation of players. They have been more effective in producing talent then most countries in Europe and it has been going for a long while now.

If you kill yourself, its suicide!!! If you kill someone else, its homicide!!! If you kill loads of people, its genocide!!!! If you haven't won a title in 24 years, its merseyside!!!!!

Last day of the Premier League season and we are one of only two sides that can win the league... Incredible.

We can always hope!

If you had offered me this situation at the start of the season, I would have bitten your hand off!

Exactly, may be disappointing not to win the league given our position a few weeks ago but i'm not too fussed about today. (As long as we finish 2nd at least)

If Liverpool do win the title, the amount of humble pie I will have to eat .... Please ban me from fm-base for life if that scenario does happen

The majority of people who like/talk about football will... Always find it amusing when people prematurely assume things are over

However, in this case you will more than likely be safe.. Cant see anything other than a very comfortable City win

ESPN FC ‏@ESPNFC Martin Sktrel has 4 own goals this season. That's a new Premier League record.

#YNWA though.

Inexperience showing unfortunately, Newcastle defending very well... Not quite sure why we didn't have Coutinho starting though considering Newcastle were always going to sit deep

Good season? Outstanding tbf. Yeah lost out on title by the looks of it, but Liverpool fans have every reason to be proud.
