Get over it.

It's like saying a big business would waste 5-6million because it helps the smaller businesses.. It doesn't work like that. If there is a way to save money, you save it.

If you have agreed on something and you are called to honor the agreement then you just do it . No problem trying to mitigate the costs, but doing the deal so that other club get's nothing is purely bad faith and this will affect Southampton in future and might cost them in long run more than what they save.

Im sure Southampton will worry about that when it happens

Half asleep, obviously meant Southampton but still.

You clearly do seem to care because you're the only one arguing that it's so wrong, sure it's unethical but it's a smart business move for Southampton and it means we could potentially save money too meaning it is for us too. It's more than likely happened before in leagues just the numbers involved are a little higher now.

Why do you care about what I care .

Then it's too late. Damage is already done. What Southampton should do to protect their image is try to make deal with Bournemouth to remove the clause. Similar what Sociedad are trying with Arsenal to remove Vela's buy back & clause which gives Arsenal 50% of anything over initial sale price of 3m euros. This way they could most likely get the fee down for example with promises of youth player loans and actually enhance clubs image which would show Southampton as club with integrity and one others would like to work with.

25 mil new bid for Lallana, Alberto's going to be increased to 18 to finalise that, and Rickie's doing his medical tomorrow

Lambert was spotted walking in for his Medical. Should be completed by end of day. Also some turkish reports that Emre Can could be closed today as well.

Lallana, Lambert, Can, Moreno and potentially Lovren all completed by the beginning of the World Cup.

Its a possibility and a ?70million spend before the window opens... I can see player sales contributing to one more big signing, a Pedro/Alexis type of signing

Looking like it will be a very positive transfer period, the fact that the club is trying to press the matter and get them sorted before the WC is a good sign as apposed to dragging the inevitable out.

Agreed we dont want any dragged out deals, and with it also being a world cup year prices for players will increase if they have a good summer!

Lallana, Emre Can, Moreno, & Lovren all on my wish list, would be great to see them done by the end of next week. Lambert is an intelligent purchase, buying him for the same reason England are taking him to the World Cup.

Honestly don't believe we're a realistic destination for Pedro or Sanchez, although I'd love it to be so. I'm glad to see us really cracking on and getting deals flowing before the World Cup, could really pay off.

I would still love to see us sign James Milner, IMO he's an incredibly underrated and underused player.. Looks like City will force him to see his contract out though which is unfortunate. No harm in putting a cheeky bid in for him though, right?

I agree Milner would be a very good purchase. Big game player with a lot of qualities

I still think there is one surprise in store, i cant imagine us going the rest of the window not signing anybody and with player sales we should have enough to make one more bigger signing.

Alexis for me would be unbelievable, such a good player.

Would be great to see Alexis in the Prem just cant see Barca selling Cesc,Alexis,Song and Pedro aswell as loosing Puyol and Valdes.

They wont sell all...

I think Cesc and Song are going and one of Pedro/Alexis are going. Balague confirmed Barcelona are willing to listen to offers for all

Just seen an interview from sky sports of Lambert saying his medical went well etc so he is a defo and they also asked about lallana which he ofc couldn't say anything but from his body language it looked like he will be on his way for his medical soon enough too! All good progress, I'm happy we got someone like Lambert (on our radar) for our depth in the squad as it is much needed just looking forward to who's next.

I agree, Milner is a reliable player who is both defensive able and can be an attacking threat. We could probably get him for quite cheap too, along with Micah Richards, so there's no harm in trying. Richards (and him) in to replace Johnson/Enrique would be good business, adding quality, versatility and depth to our squad for a smallish fee.

Southampton not budging from 30 mil valuation, so we'll move on - barrett

apparently looking at Alexis, been told Fabregas is available too

That would be a very intelligent decision. Lallana is not worth the valuation Southampton are putting on him.
