echo had an article the other day saying it's a contingency, but if that's true that's very promising.

**** knows why they'd want to sell him though

Essentially mass panic after their season. They're cleaning out, but I can't help but feel this is a little bit OTT.

I think the biggest problem seems to be trying to get Neymar and Messi into a system that works. Alexis and Pedro have both been very good for Barcelona when they have played but as soon as Neymar and Messi are back fit they are relegated to the bench again. The Barcelona side seemed unbalanced at times

Wait wtf they bought Claudio Bravo?! He's far too good to be a backup goalkeeper. Maybe he's a safety net in case ATS flops. I completely missed that news.

That's such a waste of one quality goalkeeper who will be sitting on the bench... ATS is one of the finest young goalkeepers out there, so it just doesn't make sense to me at all why they would buy Claudio Bravo.

Look at De Gea at United first season he was pretty bad and mistake-prone, since then he's been absolutely colossal and is probably in the top 3 goalkeepers of the world at this moment.

Needs more faith shown in ATS for my liking... not a fan of Barcelona anyway, but I like him.

Actually they can ban him for domestic matches if they want to ...

It has been confirmed they can. Fifa are the worlds football govening body and can dish out a worldwide ban if they wish to. Normally given for match fixing and drug offences but Suarez has given this amazing World cup a big black mark and Fifa wont like that.

it's never been done before for violent conduct, and if it was, we'd appeal the **** out of it.

I heard he's been bought for the starting spot. Luis Enrique didn't want Ter Stegen

'Top 3 goalkeepers in the world' is pushing it a little bit but he has been a excellent GK nonetheless

To be fair though, how many times have they been faced with a player who has engaged in this sort of special 'violent conduct' three times? Don't think anyone has a right to complain if it does include a domestic ban

it can only be taken on this one incident. He's been punished for the prior two.

Courtois? Manuel Neur? Buffon? Perhaps Cech?

I think Lloris is up there, as well as Valdes.

De Gea is great, but he's not in the top three.

Neuer, Buffon, Courtois, Valdes, Buffon are all better.

As for Ter Stegen, Leno is a better goalie anyway.

Lloris, Cech & Courtois, wouldnt that push De Gea out the Top 3 for Prem keepers, nevermind world from now on?

Thats a great buy if true, i well fancied City pick him up a few years ago,m before Barca come knocking, I wouldnt have been surprised if we'd have gone in again, but FFP has restricted us to only buying exactly what we need. Look forward to seeing him though.. Coutinho through balls to Sanchez.... *claps*

After me saying this, City have now been linked with a bid.. ahahha i love rumour season.

He won't get a domestic ban. Really is little point in discussing it.

Sanchez to Liverpool is absolutely fantastic business: he's wasted at Barca and I imagine he will tear it up in the PL.

Sanchez to Liverpool hasn't happened... Phil Thompson guessing it has doesn't count as anything.

Looks like sponsors are making lot of noise and the personal sponsors I mean. Adidas and some poker 888 (?) tweeted about making decision after FIFA's report.

Dan Roan@danroan 16m
"Adidas is aware of the issue involving Luis Suarez. We await FIFA's full investigation into this matter and will respond accordingly.’’

Ben Monro-Davies@benm_d 4h
88 poker tweets: "Following recent allegations made against Luis Suárez, we're reviewing our relationship with him.

Looks like he will move to the EPL nonetheless ... I am really looking forward to seeing him. I know that Chelsea were very interested when he was at Udinese and even outbid Barcelona apparently but the lad was set on Barcelona. Look how that turned out!
