Im a UTD fan and will be a shame if Suarez does go even tho I can understand why, just like watching the best players in the world playing in the prem!

Im still quite surprised Barcelona are in for Suarez at the price he is. They already have one of the best attacks in the world and it seems a front three of Neymar, Messi and Suarez could cause problems with all three wanting to be the focal point and only Messi will get that.

Owen, Fowler, Torres all struggled to have the same impact when they left Liverpool and i have a feeling Suarez may be the same

They really should focus on other areas of the side, but it may be a signing to please the fans rather than whats best for the team

Yes to many egos at Barca as it is. Really would not be supprised if Madrid did not come in after selling Di Maria.

Who the **** will you replace Suarez with? I literally can't think of anyone realistic. Edinson Cavani? Jackson Martinez?

Rely on Sturridge and Lambert? Lol

Falcao to Madrid apparently..

It's not a case of replacing Suarez - you cannot do that.

But it seems we are targeting the players to go behind, goalscoring midfielders so we are not relying on a few players alone. Lallana will join Coutinho, Sturridge, Sterling, Lambert and we seem close to signing Origi (likely loan out) with Sanchez, Shaqiri and Lazar Markovic being targeted

there always could be that surprise signing as well with the Suarez transfer potentially setting off a chain reaction of transfers across Europe

Not to mention Liverpool have a very good record of replacing world class striker strikers

Yeah read that about Falcao. Also read Madrid want keen on the price after such a bad injury.

No thanks to Falcao. if we can't get Sanchez, I wonder who our other targetrs would be.

You'll have a hard job getting better than Falcao... infact that would be an extremely good signing, one that won't happen... but it would be good nonetheless.

Fact of the matter is, top drawer strikers are very hard to come by, your squad is very inexperienced in CL and you ideally would like to bring someone proven in if Suarez goes.

He wouldn't fit into how we play at all. players who fit the system are more important

Definitely a crowd-pleaser. After their disappointing season and the pending break-up of their side, all the politicking is driving them towards a marquee signing to placate the fans. Silly, but that's Spanish football for you.

Sanchez would be a great 'replacement'.

I hope Liverpool keep him and sign Sanchez. What a site that would be to see after all these years of mid-table uncertainty.

Anyone know what's going on with the Emre Can deal? It was announced as a fee was agreed but no more information has been given in the last month.

Read yesterday that some issues with paper work and deal will be announced very soon. It's just a matter of sorting out paperwork.

Paperwork but the Echo saying its a done deal which will be announced soon

friday iirc they said they'd announce it. Can't wait to see our own Kevin Grosskreutz.

Its not all doom and gloom... here is our potential line up with the squad we currently have minus Suarez

And thats without 3-5 more signings we are likely to make of which at least 3 are likely to be first team quality
