I wouldn't get too excited - the defence played well but spurs had two or three fantastic chances

What do you mean sources? we agreed everything for Remy and then pulled out last minute when Borini didn't want to go to Sunderland and blamed it on a failed medical.

Chelsea come in and sign him without any problems

Ah, I haven't saw the game yet. Just saw a lot of praise.

That's the first I've heard that we pulled out of Remy because Borini turned down Sunderland. I don't believe that it is true. He did have a history of the medical failure that supposedly didn't allow him to join.

Also Chelsea aren't exactly the kings of transfers are they. They don't look at the injury prone stat when signing players.

He could of signed easily Borini made it impossible. If injury was the big reason Chelsea,Arsenal and others would not of been after him. Borini is at fault for you not getting Remy.

I wouldn't say Idiotic personally - they needed an excuse and couldn't really say they were pulling out because of Borini. Protecting the player

Although personally i would have signed Remy regardless and let Borini decide then. Balotelli, Remy, Sturridge and Lambert would have been some striker options

Yet they were happy to spread false rumors about Remy and his supposed inability to play football. In all honestly it was pretty classless from Liverpool if they used that as an excuse to explain why the transfer broke down. Their could have just said that Rodgers got cold feet or something ... Better than harming a guys career

To be fair though, Newcastle and QPR didn't think his condition was a problem either

Remy's injury troubles are like Demba Ba's knees. Constantly cited as a reason to be cautious when a deal doesn't happen, realistically entirely fine.

Yeah it seems like it's a convenient excuse to drag up if their transfer breaks down for one reason or another

Why would we not buy Remy because Borini was still there but buy more players regardless of his situation?

I think you're all looking at who to blame for not getting Remy. To be quite honest with you I wasn't that bothered when I heard he was coming to us and I wasn't bothered when I heard the medical failed.

Maybe because you would then be wasting squad places on players whom you don't need if you keep both Remy and Borini in the squad

So, move to Chelsea is harming his career? :D

Hardly harmed his career, everybody knows about his previous medicals and now he is at Chelsea.

The only people it affected was Liverpool not getting him

Because Remy was the Borini replacement - Borini didn't want to leave so the deal suddenly collapsed. Everything was agreed, they flew him to America to join the squad and then when Borini turns down Sunderland it suddenly doesn't happen?

More than a coincidence, the club just wouldn't want to say that

I've got to agree with that. Those plastic flags are a **** good sight.

I've yet to decide whether they're better or worse than the booing of their own players that Liverpool fans partake in.

I don't think we played much better than the game with city today. We might played slightly better but not as good as we can. Our defenders(including midlfielders) were making some really wrong passes as they did with city and the reason that they didnt cost us is that instead of Dzeko or Aguero this time was Chadli or Adebayor who are not as good as those two. So i believe that we need to improve our passing game from defence because today again they made too many wrong passes.

Rumours tonight that Victor Valdes is an option. I personally think it would be a very good signing
