OhWhat.

Bit of a down-beat tweet for a 2 week injury, thought it was a matter of months after reading that.

I thought the worst as well - obviously this is not confirmed but hopefully it does turn out to be true

Borini apparently wants 90k, he's just pricing himself out of any moves.

I haven't seen anything from the player himself that I would be disappointed with in terms of his behaviour during this transfer window. Everything seems to indicate that he wants to stay and prove himself but given what he was told he only opened himself up to the possibility of going to a smaller team for stupid money.

Well fair play to him, he doesn't want to be a big fish at a small pond which would also reduce his stock when it comes to a dreamed for place in the Italy squad. Now that Sturridge is out for, hopefully only 2-3 weeks, I hope my perception is correct and he seizes the opportunity. He looked a decently tidy player in the making for Sunderland last season and u want him to get a chance.

Go easy on the mocking, but my favourite lfc player is now henderson, how he has progressed from a decent overpriced youngster into our next captain is amazing, just shows how alot of work and determination can pay off

I have nothing against him staying, he has my respect for wanting to stay and fight. The issue lies with the real lack of opportunities he'll get. We have a much stronger squad than when Henderson opted to fight for his place and Borini is probably last in line for a chance. With Sturridge out it wouldn't surprise me if we switched back to a lone forward or even had Lambert playing a support role to Balotelli.

As for reducing his stock it's whats going to happen now anyway but even worse, with little playing time he'll have no chance of getting into the Italy squad and when he does eventually move clubs it'll be for a fair bit less than the 14mil or whatever it was.

With Sturridge out and Lallana back in contention i would quite like to see something like this against Villa:

Gerrard
Henderson - Coutinho
Lallana
Sterling - Balotelli

Will be good to see Lallana make his debut as well!

******* ridiculous. ****** ******* internationals can **** off.

Should've done a fergie and pulled them all out claiming a stubbed toe or something.

Sterling rested but Lallana and Markovic both start either side of Balotelli - Coutinho also with a chance in midfield, strong side with the pace of Sterling to come off the bench!

Mignolet, Manquillo, Moreno, Sakho, Lovren, Gerrard, Henderson, Coutinho, Markovic, Lallana, Balotelli

I thought I was still playing football manager after watching that goal...

disgusting tactics from the Villa defenders on Balo

One of the worst halves of football I've seen Liverpool play for some time which is worrying

We have to be more patient with the new players. Today we playing with 4 all new upfront.

We are against a brick wall. Balotelli up front alone just doesn't work for me, take Markovic off put Lambert on.

EDIT: I assumed Sterling was injured. WHY THE **** IS HE NOT ON THE PITCH?!

I think this performance also shows just how big a player Sterling is now

I agree.

I dont understand Rodgers keep on going back to this 4-2-3-1 formation as we seem to struggle every time we play it. The diamond seems to be the formation needed
