Ochoa isn't that tall, but he can leap like a beast . I'd agree on Begovic being better option though, but that would probably be quite a bit more then 4m.

Who?

Imo Begovic should probably be the main target. He's swell.

Always been a fan. Could easily get him if we spend a bit of cash. Stoke will be tempted to cash in with Jack Butland getting the chance he's been waiting for.

Hopefully Rodgers goes through with it already in January, I've been saying in preseason you need a better goalkeeper, once the team gets to that CL-place level, its all about fine tuning the remaining rough edges, so goalkeeper who can net you those 5-10 points a season, instead of losing them like Mingolet does , is a must.

It took me a while but I thought Liverpool actually played well in that game in certain periods, the way you passed the ball quick and decisively Real Madrid couldn't get close at times.

Yes, Real Madrid did have several chances but I certainly thought it was one of Liverpool's better performances this season, if you play like that against majority of Premier League teams, you'd definitely create chances. However your biggest problem at the moment is in the final third, evident against Madrid as well, when you get to that part of the pitch there is no killer instinct or someone who is going to make something happen, like Suarez.

Sturridge is one of these players but Balotelli and Borini are not. Balotelli may have a moment of magic every once in a while but he doesn't create something out of very little or nothing, like Suarez did.

Also just to add, for what it's worth, I don't think Balotelli suits your system at all, you need someone who is going to work his socks off and chase everything. Attack from the front kind of ethos, Borini is better at doing this but not great.

Thought the midfield worked well without Gerrard, with him in it this season it tends to look quite predictable and laboured I find, but I can't see you dropping him for this game today... despite the fact that midfield should probably start again who played vs Madrid.

Gerrard had mobile players to aim for last season and with Balotelli up front this, he hasn't got many options and when playing the role he does we need movement ahead oh him

However, I have said the same for months, Balotelli cannot play up front on his own and the only evidence otherwise was when Sturridge and Balotelli lined up against Spurs. We created vast amounts of chances and won the game 3-0

I do feel BR has been stubborn with his selections though and persisting with things that are clearly not working

Please take points off Chelsea and make things a bit more interesting :P

Quite disappointed only Can remains in the side from Real Madrid.. I feel Toure and Manquillo both deserved to start today

Looking at that line up, I have no hope at all.

Mignolet's handling is so poor, he can't even stop the ball from crossing the line.

Did not look like it crossed the line at all in normal time. Shows how important the goal line tech is

**** goal line technology... Another set-piece conceded from although Chelsea do have one of the best aerial threats in the league so hardly surprising.

Interesting that we have changed our defensive set-pieces to part zonal/ part man marking with the three tallest players on the edge of the 6 yard box

And Balotelli can't beat the offside trap. Does Mourinho use offside traps in his tactics?

Our set pieces defense is still a joke after all the talk there is about it two months now.

My streams a bit pixelated looked a pen to me that, anyone with a better picture can say if it was or not?
