Yeah but again, anyone can lose their head when the atmosphere is so fierce. Borini is only human after all. Got rightly sent off. No need to make a huge issue out of it. He was giving 200% on the pitch
Your the only one making huge issue LOL.

I disagree. Its a position we need to improve on but last season proved other positions are more important to us
Sure if you can bring someone Suarez's quality. But last season was a freak season where Gerrard and Henderson, ****, even Alan played out of their mind. This season they are back to their regular service and it hurts Liverpool.

Yeah sure go look at your original post
Why coz I said he should not be there. Was stating a fact as Liverpool or Rodgers don't want him, that's why they nearly sold him. He turned move down, god knows why. Clearly they wanted rid!

No idea why you stated an essentially irrelevant fact that has nothing to do with his sending off. If Rodgers was intent on freezing him out, he wouldn't have been subbed on to try and save the game for Liverpool

The 2 games against Utd and Arsenal is a proof of how important is the center forward.

Also Rodgers need to acquire a defense coach asap.

People are too quick to suggest the whole season was Suarez - Yes, of course he helped but he also missed quite a few games through bans and the odd injury/fitness worry

we had the perfect system for the players we had and the loss of Sturridge and Suarez effect the whole team, none more so than the midfielders who had options to target when in possession

Anyone who says it was purely Suarez doesn't understand that in order for him to thrive, a base that suited him had to be established. Liverpool last season were offensively a perfect storm.

He was your main player, let alone best one. He was perfect player for pressing Liverpool did last season. This year you have Balotelli pressing defenders. Balotelli. Pressing. Of course Suarez wasn't the only reason why Liverpool did so good, but he was the main one. Thats what world class players does. Getting Suarez back would lift Liverpool massively.

Bleh, lets be honest here, you basically did the Spurs this year. Sold the guy who was carrying the entire team, and replaced him with a bunch of duds. The thing about Suarez is that he's not just pass-and-he'll-score kind of player, he works incredibly hard for the team in every game, pulling people out of position, creating space fast guys like Sturridge and Sterling can exploit. You have to constantly keep him in check for 90 minutes, beause he will annihilate you if allowed to roam free. Replacing that kind of quality isn't easy, but for a 100 million it should be ****** possible if manager and the transfer comitee actually know what they are doing.

Selling was a right idea, provided money is used wisely. Evidently it wasn't. Its basically Torres 2.0.

It's really easy to say all this in hindsight, mind. Of Liverpool's signings, only Balotelli could easily be predicted to fail, and even then he might've done well with more tactical flexibility. Lallana was coming off a great season (albeit he was overpriced), Can was and is a very talented young player, Markovic was a talent from a club that has a track record of developing excellent players, Lovren was a logical addition, Moreno made sense and Lambert was a decent pick up.

It wasn't an all-conquering unstoppable window of awesome, but it was pretty good considering. That they've turned out to be duds is unfortunate, but it shouldn't mean the window itself in isolation should be devalued.

Don't forget, Suarez himself only got 15 goals from his first 45 or so league appearances for Liverpool.

Would have been easy to write him off as a "dud" early on too.

They did bring in some talented guys, who im sure will do well, but these things take time. Easy enough for me to say though, im not a supporter.

Oh it is, but I was already saying it in preseason so it doesn't actually count as hindsight. Har har.

Lallana and Lovren are both decent pick ups but Saints milked every single penny out of those transfers. Balo was obviously a bad idea from the start, its not that I don't think he's talented, but replacing one player with extreme behaviour problems with another players that has very similar issues, is just bizzare.

Can and Markovic may still explode of course, but in the meantime if Liverpool are relegated to being midtable club again, they're just gonna end up leaving to greener pastures. Probably not the best time to be buying young talents for the future when immediate and pressing need to replace top 3 player in the world hasn't been adressed.

No arguments with Moreno and Lambert though.

When we got him I thought about this myself to be honest (after I had jizzed all over my Italian Balotelli shirt).

But my dads mate of a mate of a mate reckons the Suarez transfer was a done deal before the world cup. He probably works for goal.com though.

I actually feel FSG will allow Rodgers to bring in some quality in January and with Sturridge back, we will see a different Liverpool in the second half of the season. Records are meant to be broken after all

Its quite a unique season as well considering the low point totals from the majority of clubs - we are still only five points behind Arsenal after all

If Sturridge returns and we sign at least 1 good starting playing then we have a chance but January is vital to us

City and Chelsea will finishing in top 2, Arsenal and ManUtd have injury crisis and it's stopping any momentum they can gather all season.

Arsenal have Ozil, Kos, Walcott to return and Debuchy and Giroud just returned after lengthy break. Then they have Ramsey who missed few games. With all these players back they will be much stronger.

United have multiple injury problems and it's pathetic when we have to rely on Young and Valencia for almost half a season.

Liverpool will improve for sure with Sturridge back. Scope of improvement is very good for all 3 teams. But 1 big problem for Liverpool is they don't have a good replacement for Sturridge.
