It's a jump, Carroll just caught Can with his elbow, no biggie.
But the player must jump without having elbows flying around. I think its at least a yellow card.

Either way fantastic play from Sterling coutinho, lallana must step up a little cant wait to see Sturridge.

Players use their arms to jump because not only is it natural but it also aids your balance in the air. If players kept their arms by their side when jumping it'd look like a bunch of salmons jumping around on the pitch.

Yeah, Coutinho, Lallana and Sterling have been the main men for you today. A lot of pressure on Sturridge to perform though.

As much as I hate Liverpool it's good to see another Englishman on, Jordan Ibe because I thought he was ready to play for you before he went out on loan to Derby anyway.

well done Sturridge. This will give him great confidence. I think Balotelli just realized he ain't gonna play for LFC again...Let's start our comeback reds and claim a UCL position! by the way well played by coutinho too.

Season before last i rated Ibe better than Sterling and although i was obviously wrong, I think he can certainly get close to that level

needed the loan for games i think as they would have been limited here

MOTD missed out Carroll trying to murder half our team, had elbows like Fellaini today, and studs of death

You'd have to be heartless, regardless of who you support, to begrudge Sturridge his moment in the sun on his return. Hope he keeps it up, the way the team mobbed him showed how happy they all were for him too.

Tony Barrett @TonyBarretTimes Follow Liverpool looking to agree a deal with Burnley for Danny Ings that would avoid the need for a tribunal when his contract ends in June. Real Soceiadad also interested.
