would be very disappointed if the 2 in the middle werent lucas and henderson.

Versatility is one of the main things Rodgers looks for in a player.
 
jesus even as a liverpool fan i have to admit that the sky ad for the game is a joke playn youll never walk alone in the background even doh the games a goodison maken it all about gerrard they couldnt be more biased if they tryed

the hatred is strong in everton for this one more so then usual and thats saying something
 
Jordan Ibe on the starting Line-up... I guess if we don't trust our young players they will never get developed but today's game is critical since arsenal lost, Southampton will probably get 1 point 0-0 in 82' minute. Is a really good chance to get higher in the ranking.... I think someone more experienced would have been a better choice.

Looking forward to seeing Jordon Ibe play, I'm a real admirer of the young lad, it'd be good to see him turn in a performance today.

Good game so far from Ibe. keep going young man! It's kinda disappointing that the team's performance mostly depends on 1-2 players performance( sterling, sturridge etc) we had so many transfers on summer to make sure that we will have good second options too but still if not all the basic 4-5 players are on, the team seems struggling. However good game so far. I think if sturridge was on we definitely would have scored one goal

I'm just gonna say it: That was one of the most boring derbies I've seen.
 
After yesterday's game I think in a way it will be a positive when Gerrard moves on as it will allow us to give other players who may well be better suited to this system a chance.

No doubt he still provides moments of inspiration but his consistency has dropped (understandably) and was anonymous yesterday. One criticism of Rodgers would be to play to the match and not the occasion/sentiment!

Just a note of the 'horrific' summer many people (including me) suggested we had in terms of transfers. The likes of Can, Markovic and Moreno look good pieces of business and Lallana, injuries permitting, has also looked good. Overall, it has turned out a lot better than expected 3/4 months ago!
