Dortmund are 6 points off 6th position and 6 points ahead of relegation placed team.

It was a little joke more than anything - Dortmund are improving but for how good he has been, this season has been terrible

I am very surprised he is still in a job

Why? It's not like they were winning titles or playing in CL for years before he took over. He made that team and he has excellent relationship with staff and CEO. It's not surprising at all, only way he would have been sacked was if they got relegated. Their injury record was beyond joke this season. Still shouldn't be anywhere near where they are in the table but for the excellent record he can be excused for one **** season.

I completely agree with you but a lot of clubs wouldn't be as compassionate... Dortmund being in the relegation zone in February should be unthinkable

I rate Klopp, I think he is a very good manager but his most impressive achievement could taking Dortmund from 2nd place to near relegation in one season

Impressive that!

thats unfair, if you understood how unlucky they have been with injuries its a joke. reus comes back from layoff injured in his game back, ilkay out, hummels out etc... on top of the vultures stealing his best players, whilst doing it on a shoe string budget it is pretty admirable tbh.

i do agree with marshall's point about us not being able to compete with top players in terms of wages. although our transfer committee or what ever they call themselves are abysmal. some of the signing were not needed whatsoever, markovich is blocking the development of ibe etc... IF rodgers excepts the help he requires e.g a DOF then he should stay but if we have the chance to get a better option e.g klopp why settle for second best when you can upgrade.

I do agree with that... There is no denying Klopp is a fantastic manager despite this season

Quite a few of our players i reserve judgement as they were brought for the future and will take time to settle in.. (not what we needed but thats the case)

Ibe was a bit of an unknown at the start of the season so I can see the logic in the Markovic buy. He was one of the better youngsters in Europe last season - I do really like Markovic though and i do think he can be a very good player for us

what ****** me off in general about the club is the players currently out on loan there doesnt seem to be a formula or plan for their development, its like loaning out for the sake of loaning out. we should copy the model of chelsea were there is a plan for their youngsters even if they dont make it at chelsea they have put themselves in the shop window etc... e.g ilori could have been given a chance in the first team and saved yourself 25 mill on lovren, texiera will most likely be sold in the summer and his is an excellent player but his development is blocked by lallana. same thing happened with suso. we dont have a good track record with player development imo.

I would never want us to copy Chelsea's strategy. They have bought in so many talented young players and very few, if any, have broke into the first team after being loaned out.

Edit: We don't have a good track record of developing players? I'm sorry that is just not true. We have bought many young players and developed them into first teamers. Flanagan, sterling, Henderson, coutinho, Lucas are all current first team players that have developed hugely at the club. Even Suarez improved tremendously at Liverpool. Then you have the players on loan wisdom and illori who will get chances next year. Rodgers never really rated Suso. He has a terrible record for us even for a young player. Almeria had an option to buy Suso after the loan but chose not to which is pretty telling. Joao Carlos was going to be given a chance to impress Rodgers in the pre season but he has unfortunately broke his leg so the chances of him making it at Liverpool are slim now.

i get what you are saying, but i meant in terms of loaning out these players and having no real strategy in what to do with them. e.g what was the point of buying alberto for 6 mil, illori could have got a chance this year and i bet you my left nut which is my fav that he will be sold along with texiera. why did rodgers not rate suso btw he didnt have a terrible youth record and he had a decent season with almeria. its not about breaking into the team its about not making lfc a grave yard for youth players.

Sorry I meant Suso had a terrible record for the first team. I think he scored 1 goal in all his games for the first team and no assists. I've heard that Rodgers doesn't rate him and it seems that way as Rodgers has never picked him for the first team except for the odd cup game. Don't get me wrong I was really excited by Suso. I wanted him to break into the first team and I was sad when he was sold. I'm not sure how he's doing in Milan but I hope he does well. I agree with you on the Alberto signing and your point on Illori he'll most likely get sold unless he impresses in pre season or we have a defender crises. We could have done with him this season when Rodgers had to pick between Lovren and Toure for the starting 11 ffs lol.

Tight and tense first half which is to be expected in a Semi-Final but the performance has been pretty poor up to now

Gerrard a passenger and not contributing in the slightest at the moment which has resulted in Coutinho being drifted out-wide

I am sorry to say that we have no plan in today's game, I hope so far.

The loss of Lucas, Lallana and Sturridge and the addition of Gerrard has caused Rodgers and Liverpool to have no idea how to play today

we have simply been poor and Villa the opposite

Yeah 3 major losses and a captain not nearly his best can do that to you.

People were laughing at the links to Delph but he would certainly be an upgrade judging on this ****** performance.

Villa look so positive under Sherwood. It's real fun watching them play

Also it's great to see the real Benteke back in action. Such a good player when he has confidence

Problem we have is that we have no plan B. Think it was Guardiola said recently he has a plan A-Z. That's something we have been packing for a while.
