its only a friendly mate dont lose hope just yet

I have no hope to begin wit lol. And it's only due to the fact I'm currently off with a broken foot that I have any interest in a pre-season kick around. Have no fear, I put little on exhibitions.

Just amusing how nothing changes back there.

Llalana goal Scouse ;)

2nd very good goal in 2 games. Really hope he doesn't get pushed out this year. He was one of the few who flashed last year and it'll be good to see him with a pre-season under his belt on the same level as everyone and not playing catch-up as he was all last year.

Uhmm, well, it might have been his side and man that was in acres of space the area .....

LOL, just saw the goal and they say this guy should be our main centrehalf, when an A league player mugs him like that. ffs i dont think i can handle another season watching skrtel going skittles.

1-1 HT. Typical pre-season fare. Certainly much more of a game than in Thailand. Brisbane are putting themselves about and closing down well. Interesting shape. First half hour it was more a diamond in midfield, then we've been dropping to a 4-1-4-1, particularly defensively; with either Ings or Origi dropping in on the right/ left alone up front. Sakho had a header cleared off the line last minute of the half. (Totally unmarked header again ala Thailand.). As for the new guys, Clyne was pretty nondescript. Milner looked very tidy again.Great ball for Lallana's goa, who took it excellently again. Ings looks real promising. Very good movement. Great touch and very good instincts. Drew an excellent save. Origin on the other hand ..... Keep on saying it but he's a LONG way from being ready for the PL. Definitely far better with a ball to run onto than into his feet, where his first touch is poor. Had a very good chance but was too slow pulling it down and reacting and was closed down. VERY raw. Vey impressed by Gomez again. Strong both ends of the park, and real composed for one so young making such a step up.

Look at us complaining about benteke. How about our blue friends, imagine how they are feeling having to spend 8 million on jonny evans. Can you imagine the fax coming through at united and seeing 8mill for evans, Woodward is probably thinking life is easy.

Everton have totally denied that this morning.

And turned down £20 million from Chelsea for Stones apparently.

Someone called so I missed most the second half of that game. Nice to see Milner off the mark. Looked a deflection but showed his ability.

joe gomez looks very good all doh it has been agaisnt two pub teams

Defo. He just looks like he belongs yer know? 17 years old making the step up from Charlton to one of the biggest clubs in the World, with all the attention he's walked into out there and he looks like he's been doing it for the last 10 years.

Reminds me of Robbie Jones and how natural he looked and adapted to the bigger stage.

Maybe loan him out this year but could be a good one in future years.

Origi on the other hand reminds me of a slightly better version of David N'gog. VERY raw and a LONG way to go with him. Hope I'm wrong but I'm expecting very little out of this experiment.

agreed looks like gomez will be back with for left back and right back next season with illori goen out on loan i would rather keep him and sell wisdom who i dont think is good enough

You know, when you look at the ridiculous support we have in the part of the World we're on tour in, it brings home again just how disgracefully under-marketed Liverpool have been on the World wide scene compared to Utd. And just what little foresight the club had.

Both clubs are every bit as big as each other and can garner every bit as much World wide support as each other; but one is light years ahead of selling it's brand World wide. If we'd of gotten our act together back the late eighties when talk of breakaways were brewing and the ultimate formation of the PL in the same way Utd did, we'd be sitting pretty like them in the financial stakes.

I love Peter Robinson to death, but he has a LOT to answer for neglecting that side of things to such an extent content on keeping us the traditional homely, family club.

Sighs.

I wonder where Flanagan fits into all this?

He was by far our most solid defender two years back when we finished 2nd for me. All he lacks is top speed. Sound as anything in a 4 at FB. But no use at all when Rodgers plays a three.

If he ever gets fully healthy again, be interesting to see where he lies in the pecking order now.

You want to know why Man utd are light years ahead of LFC. One man is the cause of it all. David Moores. I dont even have to say anymore.
