So what do we reckon for next Sunday? Moreno for Gomez, Lucas in for Lallana and Benteke in place of Ings?[/QUOTE]

All I care is that moreno is as far away from the first team as possible. The guy is clearly no a fullback, even for seville he played either as a wingback or a defensive winger. Sometimes i wonder whats the point of employing scouts if they dont pick up on key things. Until he can work on his defensive side of the game it would be suicidel to play him fullback alongside either skrtel or lovren.

With you bro' but this is Rodgers so he'll more than likely start.
 
That was an outstanding goal from Benteke.

Controlled it on his chest and volleyed it straight in the top corner from the edge of the box. Wonderful technique.
 
Firmino's runs in behind will be devastating against defences in this league. Lot of goals and assists there from he and Phil.

Just the defence will counterbalance the attacking threat out. Sighs.

But 'Kevin' believes in his 'you score 5, we'll score 6' philosophy **** it!
 
Not sure why you'd take Fermino and Benteke off after 66 minutes when they need game time.

Well that's good being as Ibe puts twice as many balls into the box per game than Sterling ever did from out wide. ;). (Which is why the direct one-to-one comparison is misleading as only one of them os an out and out winger.).

Won 2-1. Late Ojo goal. Praise the Lord pre-season's finally over.

So what are our thoughts on Stoke? Probable line-up verses what should play. Predicted result. ****, thoughts on the season as a whole.

I personally think the line up will be:

Migs
Clyne - Skrtel - Lovren - Gomez
Milner - Henderson - Coutinho
Ibe - Ings - Lallana

I'd probably go with a dull draw at the same time as well...

In terms of the season, the only realistic team we could catch in relation to the top 4 is currently Man Utd. I think City, Arsenal and Chelsea will be too strong and we'll ultimately end up finishing 5th

I'd say you have as much chance of catching City as you do United. I don't think you'll finish ahead of either mind, but City haven't really addressed their issues whilst United are considerably better than last year.

Pretty much how I see it, save for I think he'll fall back on Moreno for Gomez and find a spot for Lucas being as it's Stoke. Probably at Lallana's expense. And switch Benteke in for Ings. I'd err on a draw, but if Stoke scored I could see it easily collapsing into 2 or 3. That central defence is the stuff of nightmares. Loren's looked as woeful and devoid of confidence this pre-season as he was all last year yet somehow he (appears) to of leapfrogged Sakho!

We really CAN'T afford to get beat though or else the pressure leading upto Bournemouth will be intense and ugly after the last time out down there.

And yeah, I have us no higher than a Europa placing. Can't see past Chelsea retaining. With the only change in the top 4 maybe a switch of last years 2 and 3.

The point i was about to make. If we get Pedro, then we close off out biggest offensive issue: scoring against teams who defend very deep against us.

United haven't exactly addressed all of theirs.

Potentially losing De Gea, Not strengthening central defence and looking very short in attack, I think United will fall short yet again unless they solve those problems in the next month

He'd be an excellent addition I agree, but I still think it all hangs on De Gea staying.

Be an interesting month until the window closes.

We've address most of what harmed us. Funnily enough it wasn't our much maligned defence that hurt us...
