Like Scouse, I love Ancelotti. Seems like a very decent bloke and I've heard nothing but praise from players and former players.

He might not have the strongest record in the league campaigns but he would definitely stabilize the club while he was there, while improving the performances at least.

And hey, who doesn't love a cup win?

Just watched Rodgers' press conference, that's 14 minutes I'll never get back. It could be summarized to one sentence: "We have a great group and are looking to win games".

That's press conferences in a nutshell - Nearly all PR based

But did they show character?? ;)

I'm row 11 main stand tomorrow so won't be too far away from Rodgers. Can't wait to be screaming at him in the 60th minute when it's 0-0 to make a change that isn't a like for like ******* sub.

Any requests on what else to shout at him?

"Balotelli did nothing wrong"

How does he plan on spending his time off

What tanning salon does he go to?. I'm thinking about going orange.

I'm honestly getting to the point where I'm not only not bothered whether we win against Villa, I'd rather we lost.

Every scrawny win only delays the inevitable for another game.

Long term picture> short term gratification.

its the worse spot to be in as a fan though I feel for you I really do, I have been there myself.

Isn't it? Sadly been through this before under Suness and Hodgson where the club was going absolutely nowhere and the end was patently there. I know many would say you should never not want your team to win. But there's just absolutely nottin' that you can cling to that even remotely suggests this will turn around. So all it does is delay the inevitable.

Some times sacrifices have to made you hate for the greater good and I'd rather those lead to a chance to save this season rather than a short term boost from a win which more than likely wouldn't. And in all honesty wouldn't feel that good either if it was another **** poor performance behind it.

Ta man. Appreciated.

I know you have to look longer term I felt that way with a few bosses, I actually just thought of something that is on par with it IMO, when you really belive inn the boss who is appointed and he gets fired, I was like it when we had gary mac I felt distraught when he got fired. I would love to have him back at the club when he is done at anfield and we do not have Cellino.

edit on par maybe not, I have had several tramadol and its all gone a bit unicorns and rainbows

I feel like it would be better to stick with Rodgers until the end of the season, or atleast find an interim manager until then, and focus on getting a manager for the next season in the meantime. That way, you can promise him full transfer window and pre-season.

According to Barrett, Sturridge was a committee signing. I honestly didn't know that, I thought he was Rodgers' man. Which leaves Clyne as the only good Rodgers signing.

Brendan Rodgers' replacement jets in to discuss personal terms with Liverpool | Football | Sport | Daily Express

"The former Inter Milan coach is believed to have taken a Ryanair flight to Liverpool from Pisa airport at 10.10 this morning to discuss terms with Liverpool over replacing under pressure boss Brendan Rodgers, claim
Italia 24 News."

I'd want the owners out if we hire him. Diabolical move. Maybe they want him as Director of Football, giving Rodgers' an ultimatum. Conform to our original way of thinking, or you're sacked.

Some interesting bits from Tony Barrett:

The transfer committee system and its implementation has resulted in no one involved getting exactly what they want. (Tony Barrett)

Rodgers blocked a move to sign Sturridge in the summer only to backtrack the following January in the wake of pressure from FSG. (Barrett)

It is that dysfunction in their relationship that is at the heart of everything that is going wrong at #LFC. (Tony Barrett)

Rodgers has long harboured doubts about whether he can succeed given the conditions that he works under. (Tony Barrett) #LFC

While FSG has had its own concerns about Rodgers's willingness to work collaboratively. (Tony Barrett) #LFC

Should either Klopp or Ancelotti succeed Rodgers, "the model" will be gone for good. (Tony Barrett) #LFC

Ancelotti's & Klopp's availability is likely to make them an even more attractive proposition FSG, should #LFC fail to beat Villa. (Barrett)

Sturridge really surprises me. I had that one down as a defo Rodgers signing.

Good to read that Boston are accepting their massive part in the current state of affairs at the club and are willing to change on the face of it.
