Has there honestly been ANY improvement from the run-in to last year and the start to this with the new staff?

I hear yer, but as much as I love Gary Mac for one, if the new guy naturally brings in his own trusted guys then no problem here.

It's no doubtedly possible, however it's more or less just a rumour at the moment and common sense dictates that this is likely untrue. Very rarely do clubs agree a deal with a manager before sacking. Usually they will have a main target lined up and have an offer prepared for the next manager.
