If Klopp does take over, I wonder how He will feel, moving* from an 18,000 square meter facility (with the Footbonaut) to Melwood?

*not moving directly of course. Being that He is currently unemployed, but you know what I mean.

Pretty much all top teams these days have State of the Art training facilities. Liverpool is one of them. Training facilities are relatively cheap these days with the money in football and Liverpool could easily afford one of those. I'm sure most clubs already train with emerging technologies, such as the 'Footbonaut'.

The first thing I did this morning was check to see if a new manager had been appointed yet. A bit early maybe, but I'll probably do the same thing tomorrow. Obviously I'm expecting and hoping for Klopp, like a kid who can't wait to see if his parents bought him that cool toy for Christmas. I don't know which day Christmas is, I just hope FSG didn't buy me socks.

Did have a shocking last season with Dortmund though and kind of bailed out.

They had a shocking start - he turned it around and they ended up going from the bottom 3 at christmas to a final 7th place finish. He also still managed a strong showing in the cup competitions. Got to the final in the DFB cup, and were beat by Juventus in the knock out rounds of the CL. Not bad for a "shocking" season.

Also, Gundogan was coming from a lengthy injury, Hummels had a long WC campaign and had admitted complacency got the better of him after that.. injuries and WC campaign had its toll on their team, and while they were in for relegation battle at Christmas, Klopp turned things around and had an amazing end to the season!

He's a very talented coach, and with time and on limited money, he can do wonders. if you look at the sort of money he spent and the talents he bought. it's a miracle! and we shall scrap off the so called committee asap if Klopp comes in!

Bundesliga expert believes Jurgen Klopp would be a perfect fit for Liverpool - Liverpool Echo There is a real affinity in Germany for Liverpool, so much so that when Steven Gerrard was playing his last match at Anfield against Crystal Palace last season, that was the most watched game on Sky TV in Germany that weekend, even more than any Bundesliga match

I do not believe you Sir.

We repeatedly got told all summer from many we aren't a big name on the Continent anymore and are just delusional sad twats living in the past.

The quote is complete lies I tell yer! Devious Scouse B'stards!

The vibe in the City is awesome. Yers have a mouch around different social media and the excitement and expectation is off the charts.

It's the same kind of flat out, unadulterated joy as when Kenny returned his second go-around. L'pool fans Old Trafford were absolutely electric in excitement that 3rd round cup tie. Tottenham next time out and a Klopp lead L'pool is gonna' be one massive party.

Just so frigging good to have that weight off our shoulders and genuine, realistic hope and excitement again.

Calm down, you make it sound like it's official! You've really got a better chance with his brother - Klipperty Klopp!

LOL. F*****!

You're presuming it isn't?

We like to keep you sweating and clinging to hope this isn't really happening. ;).

Looks like it's already in the bag.
Will be interesting to see what He can do with the club.

Harsh.

he has got the second best winning percentage of any LFC manager which is no mean feat. It didn't work out for him but he certainly is cut out to be a football manager.

In my opinion, he will become a very good one.

Just wanted to know your opinion on why you think he will become a good manager, because if he couldn't cut it at LFC what makes you think he will elsewere. Lots of things point to that he will be a sub standard manager at best. Just my two cents.

I wont argue with that opinion as well, because it could well happen.

I just think Liverpool is a very, very hard job right now - You have fans expecting the world, when in reality we are not the club we were and not the club most fans think we are. Not to mention the whole power struggle behind the scenes and the question marks over FSG/transfers/etc.

People will disagree, but I like the way Rodgers handles himself and despite him losing his way the past 6 months, i do think he can be a good manager elsewhere

My sentiment exactly. He has the ability to bring out the best in players, and he's shown glimpses of what he can do with his style of football in the 13/14 season. Smooth attacking style. It's like I said on the Prem thread-if he had a few years more experience under his belt things would have been different I suspect. That's what he needs-experience. In a way this would have served him well. He will be back at a big club in the future. I still rate him as a manager and a person

I wonder if you take out the Suarez season what his win percentage would be. Tbh I feel he is being given waay to much credit for that season, I mean all he did was work to suarez strengths, we know suarez will be running non stop for 90 mins on top of that we hade the pace of sterling and daniel along with gerrards direct style of passing. It means if you win the ball higher up the pitch you have a better chance of scoring. So all that meant was implementing a high pressure system that worked effectively, I mean a better manager would have incoporated that with being solid in defence but I dont think rodgers even read how to defend for dummies. We lost the league because he had ZERO idea how to coach the defensive side of the game. No team wins the league letting in 50 plus goals. As a person I dont like him either, way to interested in himself and like lawro said he made everything about himself and not LFC, his foot in mouth syndrome ****** of every fan, constantly spouting rubbish. So all in all good riddance.

Echo saying we've opened talks (Ayre liaising with Henry, Werner and Gordon with Jurgen) and there could well be an appointment before the end of the week.

Happy days.
(H).
