Two more sleeps!

Honestly don't think if we got beat at 'Spurs it would dampen anyone's spirits too much. All safe in the knowledge Jurgie has this. And I don't think anyone's expecting 'full throttle football' from the off. Will be interesting to see the formation and personnel utilised like. No more back 3! *Does happy nakie dance.

Can not remember the last time I looked forward to a game this much. The second half the season 2 years back was special. But this is off the freaking charts! White Hart Lane's gonna' be BOUNCING whatever happens. I was talking to some older mates last night who lived through Shanks (he retired not too long after I was born) and they were equating this to back then with Klopps character having a Shanklyesq effect on everyone.

Two more sleeps!

Watching his conference now and it still hasn't sunk in we've got him.

We have a pretty big history of injuries from the national squads especially from England but I guess everyone has.

Wow.

We are really struggling with injuries at the moment

This one's a killer.

Joe we could of got by without. As much as I'd of loved to of seen him play. But losing Ings ..... aside from the fact he looked perfect for Klopp with his work rate and ability to match, this leaves him with one forward in the interim. And Origi. Even when Benteke's back, that's still a bog ask of he and Daniel to get us through to January playing the all out 90 minute effort game Klopp demands.

I would say we need to recall Mario, but he looks like the very last player that would fit now. Markovic back maybe? Or do you really push Origi to step up. Sinclair too maybe? Ride it out until Benteke and Firmino are back?

Something has to give or what do you do? Sack off one of the cups in the short term?

Just as we get this sweeping air of genuine optimism we have **** luck like this!

GOD **** IT!

I'd forget recalling anyone, it's very rare those clauses are included anymore with players who are not youngsters and u21's

But with Firmino, Henderson, Benteke, Gomez and Ings out its going to be a harder start for Klopp than already anticipated

I hope Sinclair gets a chance, maybe in the Cup, I'd back him to find the net before Origi tbh

I'm not actually kidding. I would like to see what Klopp could do with him, and I think he would make a good foil for Sturridge/Benteke.

To the utter bemusement of, (and merciless skitting from), my friends, I remain a massive fan of Mario. Aside from the undoubted World class ability he posses (admittedly when he can be arsed to show it which is often a major problem in itself); he's a real likeable character who just seems a genuine, chilled, real nice dude. I'll defend him all day for how woefully utilised and hung out to dry he was by Rodgers; but he's the one single outfield player I couldn't see fitting at all under Klopp. Weather you played him up top, just behind, or off to the side of a central three more advanced in support of the central striker expected to run in behind (a lot of how I ultimately foresee Sturridge working off Benteke coming back); I just don't see how Mario has the work rate and all out 90 minute attitude to do whats required in the Germans scheme. Klopp's a World renowned motivator of players who's gotten far more than most ever would out of his teams, but he's not a frigging miracle worker. Mario's Mario and Mario's gonna' do what Mario's gonna' do. Shrugs.

I kind of half muted if we should look to bring him back with Ings lost but I honestly don't see him adding much now and we'd be better served leaving him at Milan, hoping he has a great season; and we can make something on him next summer.

Benteke and Firmino are potentially back Southampton a week Sunday, and Sturridge is looking far fitter than the last time he came back. So it's a case of muddling through to January and then seeing if there's anyone of the required quality available we can add.

Utmost faith that Klopp will do what he's always done and adapt the formation if need be to accommodate what we have and cover for what he's lost.

I stopped reading at world class ability. He is just a jumped up *** who doesn't appreciate what he has. Considering what he has been through you would expect him to use it to better himself, except mario uses it as a constant excuse. I dont agree with the way rodgers treated him however good riddance anyway imo. I hope to never see him in red again.
