That's nonsense.....

It's not nonsense at all.

He has no clue how to set up a team defensively at all and if he did he wouldn't of dropped the stupid points he did that season with what Suarez was doing the other end regardless of the naivety the last three.

It's bizarrely cute you vainly trying to defend him and all for the sake of pointless argument but he was act much at fault for not winning it in '13/14 as he deserves credit for being the manger that came within a game.

But it's past, he's mercifully no longer at the club, and we have a far better future to look forward to continuing with Southampton today and that's ALL the matters so this is a completely redundant subject.

Milner and Origi dropped, Firmino and Benteke in.

Sakho captain!

Ultimately but I wonder whether they're both ready to start?

'Least Origi can run the legs off the Southampton defenders a half or so before Cristian's introduced. Even if there's little goal threat from him.

That's nonsense logic however you want to put it. You can say that about any manager.

Liverpool were nowhere near favorites to win the league, so saying Liverpool should have won the league before Chelsea game is just nonsense and hilarious. If anything Rodgers approach was one of the reason why Liverpool were so close along with Suarez' great season. Defense was compromised because team was better attacking and he sacrificed defense because Liverpool had full of average players except 2-3.

Mate, what's 'nonsense and hilarious' is (presumably) your ego never NOT allowing you the last word on ANYTHING and looking rather foolish more often than not in so doing. (And is often nottin' more than overt trolling to push a response from people but each to their own.).

Again, this is a completely redundant issue that's been more than done to death so feel free to bumble on at your leisure as you can't seem to help yourself in response. As quaintly amusing as it is if you aren't enabled there's nowhere for you to go so I no longer will on this.

Onto Southampton and what matters now .....

In a way a season of more success caused the fans to turn on Rodgers even quicker... Liverpool's last four seasons before that 2nd place finish was:

7th, 8th, 6th, 7th

Over expectation has been one of the club's biggest problems the past 5-10 years

You just can't see the irony here. And trolling? phew.

Looking foolish is someone who thinks Liverpool should have won title before Chelsea tie and it was Rodgers who cost it when the Chelsea game clearly shows it was now all out attack but the slip by Gerrard who was the playing between CBs cost the game.

What? Don't you know, Liverpool should have won the league before Chelsea game, only defensive set up (or lack of) by Rodgers cost you the title.

Hilarious how far people can go once Manger lose trust of the fans.

We confident of a win today?

Kind of erring on a draw if Origi starts and with Benteke and Firmino not quite upto speed with hopefully someone from midfield stepping up. (Which has also been a noticeable improvement. Midfield runners getting past the forwards.).

Hopefully another little step forward with another few days working together.

Depends on what level Firmino and Benteke are at for me... Origi is not starting apparently

Hopefully Benteke is fit and sharp enough to start Little doubt if he'd been match sharp Thursday we'd of had our first European win of the year.

Great to be sat here knowing if we win, we're only 2 games behind Arsenal and if City win the Manc derby, 3 behind Utd. Both of whom we both had as our main competition for the top 4 spot. Not to mention we'd move 5 clear of Chelsea with them next up.

All with almost all our toughest schedule of aways manoeuvred.

This is set up brilliantly for the second half of this year for a great debut season.

Earlier rumours were false then... Cant say I'm particularly confident about today with that line-up

Confirmed #LFC team v @SouthamptonFC: Mignolet, Clyne, Skrtel, Sakho, Moreno, Lucas, Can, Milner, Coutinho, Lallana, Origi

I have lived to see skrtel make a through pass. What a day to be alive.
